Meet Riku! A male who is in a relationship with his Girlfriend Elaine! The only issue is, her family doesn't approve of her dating men. Which isn't obvious to Riku at all. But when Elaine wants to try and sway their opinion via a family dinner, things go decently at the start. But things end up falling apart as her family were planning something else to get him to break up with her. However, when even a that doesn't work. Just finished Riku and His In-Laws, and I genuinely need a second part. What impressed me most is how well-balanced the dark elements are handled. You didn’t lean on the usual heavy-handed NTR clichés or cartoonish “haha you’re getting cucked” energy. Instead, you went for a more psychological approach that actually feels immersive. The family’s disapproval isn’t just surface-level “we don’t like men”; it’s woven into the atmosphere and the way they interact with Riku, so the tension builds naturally instead of being forced. That makes the shift when things start falling apart hit a lot harder. Riku’s obliviousness at the start works because the dinner feels genuine enough at first, which makes the later turn feel earned rather than random. The writing and pacing sell the slow realization that the family had a completely different agenda, and that psychological weight is what elevates it. It’s darker without being lazy, and that restraint is refreshing. The story clearly has more to say about Riku’s dynamic with this new “family,” and leaving it here would be a waste. Part 2 feels necessary to fully pay off what you’ve set up. Hope it happens.

Thanks for the detailed comment! Let me tell you now that there is infact a part 2 planned from the commissioner! Just waiting to see when he wants to do it! And yes i definitely put a lot of thought on the buildup. When he brought the idea to me, I knew it would be a good challenge for me. Especially balancing 3 characters with different motives 😂. Very proud of this one! Glad you seen it as well!

Feels like this is begging for a part 2. Continuing the NTR setup with his GF at the start is obvious but the question is what happens when she finds out. One option could be shock with her probably joining in after getting upset, could end with a family toy or her claiming him for good. Another could be more fun, where she “finds out” but it was her plan for one reason or another. Thinking that she could have already knew about his hobby and is the one who leaked the info. It was her way of getting her family to accept and she got the bonus of a now trained BF. She claims him from them and makes him her wife with a great honeymoon and her family hoping for more bonding next time they visit 😂
