Sometimes I get little ideas in my head that may not be worthy of a full script, but has a hot little nugget of a concept behind it, and I figured I could share them with you and if you like what you see, I could develop these ideas into full fledged characters and scripts.

Sit down, boy, and listen well. You think you can just wander in here and become my apprentice? You think you have what it takes? What do you know about the forge? What do you know about the fine art of fire and steel? Nothing.

You're nothing but raw steel and I am the blacksmith, the anvil and the hammer. If you can survive my forge, and my touch, you just might be forged into a tool worthy of being handled and used by a master smith like me.

But you're nothing more than a raw potential right now. So listen closely. Stare into the forge fires and hear my words. You are nothing without a master blacksmith. You are nothing yet because you haven't be tempered and annealed and forged. So if you want this, stare deeper into the fire, and listen closely, and give yourself to me, that I may mold you and shape you into an implement worthy of me.

Do you think you can handle the forge fires? Do you think you can handle the hard work? Do you think you can handle leaving your cocky attitude behind and give yourself to me completely, mind, body and soul?

Oh my gods! I love this. So I’m actually an amateur blacksmith! I’ve only done a few small things since it’s something I can only do once a week/every other week, but it’s definitely been fulfilling and a fun rabbit hole to dive into.

Oh hell yeah, that's awesome man! Blacksmithing is one of those interests that I've wanted to learn more about but living in a dense urban centre in a cramped tiny apartment means that it has to be limited to watching YouTube videos. But that's so cool that you're doing it. What have you created so far?

I got into it a little more than a yearish ago, I also live in a very urban area, and our apartment’s don’t even let me have a outdoor grill, let alone a forge. In my research I learned about “Open Forge Nights”, where a couple of people will basically host for anybody to come by and learn or practice. The closest one to me is like an hour away so I only go like every other week. So far all most ive made are some wall and door hooks. Most of it so far is learning the rhythm of hitting the steel and learn how moving the metal feels.
