why do i keep typing DTF instead 💀

honestly idk if any of this makes sense, i think kaveh would have a fear of being Perceived for various reasons and i relate to it on some level but maybe it's frustrating(?) to others hnfhdknfb

also one of these days i need to get on pinterest for cool shirts for kaveh to wear

Nicolette Lovegood

I love them. And I understand Kaveh completely. Wanting to hide your darkest thoughts and only wanting your partner to see the best of you

Tycja

Poor Kaveh. Always so scared, he really want to be seen in certain way and thinks there's a lot of bad things in him that he need to keep away from the world 🥺

sideon

amazing as usual! thank you for cooking as always 🙂‍↕️

Faya

Kyaaa best snack ever. They are so adorable 🥹

Tymki-The-Great

I totally understand Kaveh tbh, he's a mood. Tighnari has such patience omg XD

MikoPiko

Bless the tags, I low-key forgot what happened 💀 I adore them so much. I love everything about this AU. I love love LOVE your comics so much. Im so happy they are back

nicawlette

Kaveh being afraid of Alhaitham seeing the parts of himself he hates and, in turn, coming to hate him, is such an important core of haikaveh, it's NECESSARY. JUST as necessary as Alhaitham proving to Kaveh that he sees and LOVES all of him, no matter how ugly, and Kaveh coming to accept this as fact!!!

Jacky

Oh Kaveeeh😭😭 Well aren't his worries relatable haha🙃Honestly I think you grasped the core of his character extremely well and the way it affects his relationship with Alhaitham. Always makes me remember how he felt betrayed by Haitham in canon because he saw through him and Kaveh wasn't ready for it, because he himself denied these negative traits of his. UGH he is so human. Tighnari chibi and his big ears is cuteness overload btw🥹 You draw him beautifully, too! Also we stan a really good friend who listens🙏 And his patience is out of this world lmao Kaveh's faces throughout this are hilarious, bro is so done with everything and his overthinking got activated lmao. And Kaveh blushing because he is obviously interested and Haitham and hearing from Tighnari that Haitham is also obviously interested in him, ahhh my babies😭 But let's face it, commitments are scary, especially when a relationship requires showing your most vulnerable sides and nobody likes doing that. I totally get Kaveh in some ways because unfortunately having parts you dislike about yourself is way too normalised. And if you don't dislike yourself or any part of you, you are perceived as arrogant. But especially with Kaveh's reputation as this beautiful genius it's almost impossible not to put him on a pedestal and while he doesn't like it, it at least gives him some distance. I think he's the case of, I don't want people to just like me superficially, but when it comes down to it, he puts on a mask and is the person everyone expects him to be. Because if someone were to see his true self, the one he hates so much, no one can accept that. My boy needs therapy. Though as he said, Haitham already sees way more than that and I guess that scares him a lot as well because he is STILL there. BECAUSE HE ACCEPTS HIM LIKE HE IS UGH. Also why that pic of Kaveh crying on the phone that was really not necessary to break my heart like that. I imagine he's on a call with his mom and pretends to be fine as always but is not.🙃 Can I just say that Kaveh absolutely deserves the world and more and anyone calling him an asshole has definitely not understood his character. And if I sound pressed because of a twitter post I saw, then you are absolutely correct 🤡 And as a sidenote your Haitham is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. I think that everytime and yet you always manage to make him even more pretty. To end my deeptalk rant (sorry for that, it's a topic close to my heart) Kaveh feels so human and whoever cooked him and his relationship with Haitham up really needs a medal. Thank you for understanding their characters, it hurts my heart seeing them mischaracterized, so having you here is a blessing 😭🙏 I hope whenever you feel like Kaveh, you remember that you're perfectly imperfect and that's exactly the way you need to be. You are good the way you are❤️ Take care!

Ori

Aridette

Ugh I love him, he's so relatable in this. Do not perceive me. Do not perceive him. But give us love anyway.

lavlav

Fili

Honestly, as someone who hates being perceived, this makes so much sense! Thank you for putting this feeling into words!

kee

nari choking on his food help... (kaveh is so relatable, i literally wont share one of my favorite manga with people bc the mc is so like me that i will feel Too Seen if i know they read it,,)

Riqui

WHY DID YOU MAKE TIGHNARI SO OPEN AND WARM AND CUTE AND KAVEH SO BEAUTIFUL AND SUPERMODELY AND ALHAITHAM SO HANDSOME AND ATTRACTIVE WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME!!!!!!! YOU’RE SENDING ME SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES TO MAKE ME LIKE BOYS!!!!! 😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫 I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haiyiness

Kaveh so real it’s okay bbg I FEEL THAT WAY TOO 😞🤞

Nojiko444 .

Once again Kaveh is way too relatable. It hits so close to home it's basically bashing in the door xD But I love this AU so much! Also poor people who have to sit behind Thignari xD

Rain F.

Alhaitham looks so pretty in that last panel omg 😭

LJ

So real for that

Jesica Bello Cardozo

My boy 🥹 I think I understand that type of feeling... it's a little bit of fearness that if someone knows you to the point you are vulnerable suddenly they lose interest in you... But, Kaveh, Alhaitham does not judge you 😭😭😭💚💚💚 just wants you to be sincere ❤️❤️❤️ and I honestly think that Alhaitham feels at ease with Kaveh too 🥹🥹

Aster S

As someone who can relate (gods forbid I am Perceived™), I don't think you should worry too much about making Kaveh's thought process seem frustrating to others. Sometimes people are just... exactly that, and even they might be aware of it. To me, it just makes these comics feel much more alive and thought provoking, especially if you are writing partly from experience. Either way, your characterization of these boys is always on point, thank you for providing us with yet another banger 🫡

SpicieTime

I love the way you write these characters thank u for creating

Aaugh

WAIT OMFG BARRELS THROUGH THE DOOR AND LEAVES A COMICALLY SHAPED HOLE. DOES BRINGING THIS AU BACK MEAN WE EVENTUALLY WE HAVE A CHANCE AT A HAIKAVEH FIRST TIME COMIC WHERE THEY’RE BOTH CLUELESS 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

>>166210080

imagine being tighnari and watching as kaveh rants abt this guy for more than a year and tries to deny haitham doesn’t live in his mind 24/7 💀 infinite patience fr also exactly thiss i was thinking abt their fallout too 😭😭 and ye kaveh’s wants are kinda contradictory cos he wants to be loved and accepted but that also makes him scared to show vulnerable parts of himself 🥲 i imagine that fear is doubled with haitham who he rly likes almost against his will lmfaoo and ye he’s on a call with his mom ueue i have complicated feelings abt he and faranak’s situation helppp you saw that too 💀💀💀 it was such an outrageous take, like yes kaveh’s a complicated character who can be mean and lash out but to argue with their whole chest that he’s not a good person is crazy 😭 i try not to get on my high horse abt character interpretation cos that’s a slippery slope but that was just objectively wrong i’m happy a lot of ppl wrote character analysis on kaveh following that though and had a little kaveh appreciation session 🥹 and thank you so much for your support as always 🥹♥️♥️♥️ take care!

Ximinnie

Awwwwwww Kaveh 🥺

kur0giiri

Always making kaveh so pretty i love love this au so much looking forward for more:3

kur0giiri

Also i truly believe the way you explained kavehs feelings is perfect! I feel like it’s a very big part of his charscter and he IS frustrating because hes always trying to avoid being sincere with his feelings !

Jacky
>>166210080

Kaveh liking Haitham against his will is so funny though, bro went through all stages of grief before settling on "Of course it's gonna be him, who else" The relationship between him and Faranak is super interesting and sad. While I can understand her pursuing her own happiness, Kaveh is still her child 😭 It's sad that she fell for the same mask Kaveh puts on everywhere else too - or rather, she wanted to fall for it, I'm quite sure she as his mother knew he was lying but left anyway. But it's hard to sometimes not turn her into a villain in my head when she was the one who let him grow up alone (I mean Kaveh said he was already a grown up, but in hinsight he was probably still super young. As an almost 30 year old myself, being 20 is still a kid for me in some way lmao) And he spent all holidays alone 😭😭 Kinda crazy that Haitham is the only person in his life who's seen every side of him and still stands by him. lkashdklas this post made my blood boil ngl, neither Kaveh nor Haitham are black and white characters, they have ✨layers✨ Calling Kaveh an asshole because he does things out of guilt, as if HE HIMSELF didn't say that he might be doing things out of guilt, but the result is the same - he does something good, so it doesn't matter. It already tells you about his way too big heart. Yes, he gets angry, yes, he is mean to Haitham especially, but are we talking about the same person here? Kaveh, who buys things for charity, Kaveh who would literally give his last piece to make someone happy, plsssss Also, not to get all philosophical here, but what even defines a good person? Everyone has boundaries, everyone gets angry and everyone gets selfish every once in a while. Like, I don't agree with it, but calling Haitham an asshole - okay, fine, I'm used to it and not everyone deepdives into a character and I can accept different opinions (even if they're wrong 🤡), but calling Kaveh an asshole is like saying the earth is flat lmfaao. Sorry for the rant, this just really got on my nerves💀 Anywaaaay🤪🤪 Hope you have a great day!

Aaugh
>>166298936

YYYEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHH Sits patiently. I love a good slow burn PLS do not feel rushed. I am munching my popcorn 😌🍿

Amphiivu

The way Alhaitham looks at Kaveh??? So handsome and gorgeous at the same time 😭💚

Amphiivu

I hope that one day someone will look at me, understand me, and accept me like Alhaitham would to Kaveh 🥺🤧

noranb
>>166428537

thank you 😭😭 never getting over kaveh trying to put on a happy face for others 🥺

noranb
>>166237770

lmfao the moment i tried drawing him without ears i knew it would’ve been cursed.. (other ppl have done it but i can’t pull it off)

kur0giiri
>>166428537

frrr! My sweet boy he just needs to accept people rlly love him and accept him

noranb
>>166210080

right same cos faranak did what she had to do for her mental health and i’m not sure if they’d have been happy if she forced herself to stay either but man.. it’s just a sad situation all around 😭 akademiya timeline is confusing cos it seems like it could be anything from middle school to uni equivalent, but regardless i imagine he thought it was better that he was out of her life and started focusing on his studies more to distract himself :( and yess agreed with all of those points, i talked to a friend about it (even tho she doesn’t play genshin) and she said it’s telling that his grief and guilt caused him to do good instead of it manifesting in other ways, and that already is a sign that he’s a good person. not that guilt is even his sole motivator like OP made it seem. and yes this might be an interesting philosophical question but i think by OP’s logic no one on earth could be a “good person” 💀 yeah i feel you that post was hilarious at first but the more i thought abt it the more upset i got LMAO

angie

aaaaa i love kaveh and nari’s friendship here they’re so besties hehehe 🫶 but crying at my poor baby kaveh ueueueueue you’ve written him so well here it truly feels like you can understand his feelings and damn i must say i do relate :’)) but eeee im excited to see kaveh learn that he has someone to turn who loves him so dearly and wholeheartedly regardless of his insecurities 🥹🫶

Jacky
>>166210080

THIS IS SO SAD I guess what fucks me up the most too is that they're barely in contact. She probably has similar feelings as Kaveh, thinking that it would negatively impact him to see each other. But still😭 Imagine your mom leaving you alone, inviting you to a wedding and then almost never writing you again. With everything that has happened to Kaveh, it's no wonder that he pretty much thinks of him as undeserving of love. He got his closure with his father, I hope he can get one with his mother too😭 Wise words from your friend and man, even if Kaveh does things solely out of guilt that still doesn't make him an asshole. Jajsdhaks it's so funny how I'm getting annoyed at OP because of a fictional character, but at this point Kaveh is my son or something so I feel the need to defend him💀 At least we understand his character. If I had a dollar everytime either he or Haitham get mischaracterized I'd be rich atp. Btw since u talked about your friend, I showed a friend of mine (who doesn't play Genshin either) some of your Haikaveh art and now she's really invested in them, so thank you for your service 🙏

noranb
>>166210080

omg parade of province was so peak and i know it will probably never happen but let me dream of a fontaine-sumeru event where kaveh gets some closure pls.. yeah like 3? years after release we are still in the trenches fighting the haitham / kaveh is an asshole allegations goddamn 😭 it’s extra sad when it happens from within the haikavetham fandom though fjdjd aww i’m glad your friend likes them!! spreading the hkvh virus hehe ♥️♥️🫡

Jacky
>>166210080

Yeah there's no way they're dropping that Faranak lives in Fontaine and nothing ever came out of it. I thought we'd at least get a mention of her or something 😭I'm dreaming right with you, Hkvh visiting Fontaine and getting a Fontaine skin because I'm a simple girl and need to see them in these elegant steampunk clothes 😔 If I have to read from hkvh fans something like Alhaitham is smarter than Kaveh and Alhaitham needs to help Kaveh with math again I'm gonna combust 💀 Also tbh I never got this fandom humor of complimenting Kaveh to the heavens and back and then insulting Haitham in the same breath. I know it's all in fun, but I guess because he's my fav it just doesn't work for me. I like to make fun of him too when he's jealous of Redham, but seeing so many insulting him in every way always makes me a bit annoyed lmao

noranb
>>166210080

honestly genshin lost its spark for me and i don’t rly log in much i’m just waiting for sumeru centric events tbh.. man kaveh steampunk skin… 😭😭😭♥️ dndjdjdh the point is that hkvh subverts popular tropes of “emotional person who’s in liberal arts” vs. “logical person who is in STEM” 🗿 i feel like i saw this a lot when they were first introduced but luckily not anymore yeah i still see some ppl joking like “i love kaveh and haitham.. he’s just there” or the other way around ig and my fave is alhaitham too so yeah it’s just awkward, better than hating/mischaracterizing one of them but still

Ahsokaisawesome

Nari just so done and being up front with Kaveh is so needed with this messy boy 😭 and Kaveh being afraid to share himself but wanting to learn more about Haitham I CAAAAANT
