I don't know how to say this in any way that isn't unhinged but i want to lick your lineart

super fun!! i always love seeing process posts bc it genuinely boggles my little caveman brain how artists turn a blank page into a work of art

sinnamonbird

so real on step 3 😭 i learned it as i grew older that the lazier you are during the planning process the more u suffer ahdjfkfkfkfk but its the one i hate the most bc u have to THINK so much i jus wanna be head empty and do lines and coloring LMFAO

I don't know if this will help or not but you mentioned procreate not being able to insta fill, here's what I know from using procreate myself. In the top right corner of the toolbar, the circle showing what color you're currently using, if you hold on the color for a moment you can then drag to an area to fill with that selected color. If it's a blank layer it'll fill the whole layer however for lineart you can tap the layer and select Reference which will make that layer the reference for filling in. Then when you go to a new layer you can fill in acording to the lines form the reference layer. Hope this help idk if you know everything I just told you

Love it! Gah it is so cool to watch the process. It is a beautiful as it feels like my own thought process! Makes you feel like a conspiracy theorist when the unhinged thought press is exposed on paper for all to see the insanity 😂

Jacky

Yeah i do have a question, how do you keep your sanity😔 Drawing is so hard (I'm at the stage where u can see something looks off but you don't have the skills yet to make it better🤡) and last time I thought how much in awe I am that you do several (colored?!) pages every week and they look so good and smooth. Something about your style and light gives such a warm Feeling🥹 What is your favorite part of the process? And how much time do you need to finish five pages? bc I'm the type of person to never finish a drawing at all haha so it's very fascinating that you can do comics especially. Because you always have to consider new panels and perspectives without making it repetitive and boring. Or consider whats something you can show in a more shallow manner (e.g. Young hthm blushing more) Also sorry for this unformated wall of Text I usually write on pc but am on vacation and I have no idea how to leave some space on phone without ptrn posting it already hfjelsbalrb

Do you use a specific lineart brush? Because I've been searching for one like that for csp / procreate 👀

Thanks thos this ♡♡♡ I work with CPS but have no idea what you mean with "insta-fill", but if you mean, that your line is the reference and you whan you use the fill tool, it will only fill that one space in the reference line. Procreate has this option too. Not so easy to finde like CPS, but I saw a video about this 2 says before. If I remember correctly, you have to set the layeroption to "reference". I guess, it was there, where you can set the layer to normal, multiple, etc etc.

Your art style is so pretty ! ❤️ I draw too but it's hard for me to understand human body and proportions, especially for the human head. I try to study it when I can but i'm so lazy. I mostly draw animals, dragon, etc.. but I want to try drawings human beings too, like my oc. It's so hard, do you have some advice maybe ?

Kaz

Hey, so procreate does have Insta fill options like CSP, you just need to have your lineart layer set to “reference” and be sure that any section you want to fill is completely closed (which I believe is also true of CSP). Then hold your finger over the colour selector before dragging it to the section you want to fill. It’s a little more tedious than CSP’s, but it’s still helpful!

I can never draw hands without refs 🥲 but I don’t think you overdid it on the orange! It makes it seem more warm and soft (which kinda fits the vibes to me of them being kinda new to this)

noranb

same, even with simple poses i need to take pics to know where the noodles go 😭 and thank you so much!! 💕💕

It's so cool! I always wondered which program you use but I wasn't brave enough to ask(?) hahaha. It would be awesome if you could share some speedpaint every now and then, hebe, just saying :3

noranb

i use procreate on my ipad! maybe if i’m doing a small illustration i’ll do a speedpaint but honestly it won’t be that interesting either lmao
