Hey folks! We are releasing a new version of the Gold & Sand demo on Patreon first, in order to test it properly before releasing it on Steam / GoG.

Download it here!

Please report any issue you encounter, and of course suggestions are always welcome.

This update features a new scene with Aya being kinky in the wild.

The Driver Worm Queen, which you can fight during the worm quest at the slums tavern.

A smut scene at The End of the Tail tavern, which happens after the worm quest.

The hunters guild now has a upper floor.

A little surprise at the Hunters Guild second floor...

The tug of war minigame is now implemented.

Wilderness travel sequences with their own stinger music.

The new combat UI we detailed in a previous devlog.

And finally Aya gets a new theme soundtrack.

Plus of course many bug fixes, new animated sprites and other improvements.

Anyway we hope you enjoy the demo. Our next release will be an Avarice build focusing on Kimber, with a full smut scene! All assets are ready and are now being integrated.

Awesome, thank you for the update! I was a bit curious since you seem to be splitting development efforts between Avarice and G&S, is there any sort of estimate of how far along Avarice is in terms of completion? And do you have any kind of road map /rough estimate on when the games might be completed fully? Sorry if this actually is listed in a wiki somewhere or on the discord and I'm just blind! I was mainly curious how often we can expect the updates of the respective games, or if you just alternate between them? Regardless, I'm excited to learn more about the world and lore! Aya is awesome and cute. Really love her Voice actors performance too. Just been hesitating on playing Avarice now if it's not finished yet either. Is it mostly done I hope? Keep up the great work! 😃

We are working on both Avarice and Gold & Sand at the same time and since they share the same core, improvements on one also impacts the other. Avarice is still our main game and GnS is a smaller side story that will be finished before Avarice. Content wise I think Avarice is getting close to 3/4 done now, but there is still quite a lot of stories we want to tell in it. I think it's safe to start playing Avarice now because we add content in chronological order, at least when it comes to the main story. As for the roadmap we don't have an official one, but next 3 builds will be kimber, then scylla, then nailah. GnS will not get any public builds beyond the demo because we plan to release it in full directly.

Thank you very much for the quick response to my questions! It's neat that both can benefit from one another in terms of mechanics /engine improvement and such too like you said. I will give Avarice a try then. :3 Oh one more thing, is there a particular place like on the discord or in the patreon here (I guess I can look through the various posts here if nothing else!) in terms of finding the art used in game? I've been thinking about possibly commissioning fan art from a friend for G&S (and who knows maybe Avarice too!) but I wanted to give her some high quality references if possible. I suppose taking screen shots in game would work too, but if the art is already readily available somewhere that would be fine as well!

Your best option will be the game gallery, using the cheat code to unlock it. Otherwise you can find a bunch of them on this patreon, but not in a well organized manner.
