Hail & Well Met!

We wanted to get your opinion on the Patreon bonus content formatting. We're referring to the additional content from the weekly videos we put out (the limited version which can be viewed on YouTube).

It's important to us that we're not overloading you with duplicate content, so we thought we'd take out this poll to see whether or not you would prefer that we A) continue to upload the full episodes or B) Cut out the sections that already appear in the YouTube video and only upload the additional content.

We decided to poll our beloved Patrons because we have gotten some requests for this change in format, but before voting we ask that you please take the following into consideration:

Continuity
Our primary concern is that with the featured YouTube sections removed, the bonus content may sometimes lack conversational context. We are worried that it might seem somewhat frenetic as it jumps from talking point to talking point. Because the YouTube cuts aren't linear, (they're sourced from several sections of the overall interview) we would hate for viewers/listeners to lose continuity.

Splitting The Party
Our secondary concern is that we don't want to make anyone feel like they need to view the content in two separate locations in order to get the whole picture. Whereas we will of course post a YouTube link containing the widely distributed cut if we decide to upload only the bonus content, we understand that watching things on two separate platforms could be irksome.

With that in mind, we're excited to hear what you think. Please feel free to make your voice heard in the comments, in Discord, or through any of the other channels made available.

At the end of the day we just want to know how to best serve you and provide you with the absolute best experience.

I mainly listen to the full-length podcast. Otherwise I’d watch the full length video. I suppose I’d be ok with releasing just the bonus content in video form as long as the podcast remains full-length. Because my vote is not particularly relevant to those who watch the video content, I selected other.

I prefer the entire video, but maybe post the entire video on Patreon, with a link to YT, that way we know it's the same video on both platforms.

If I can see it in two different places, I'll just watch the whole thing in one spot, and would rather not play mental jigsaw as to how the parts that didn't make the YouTube cut fit into the parts that did.

I strongly prefer the full-length video/podcast. Any other approach just seems fussy and needlessly complicated. Plus, having it in the podcast feed/Patreon app makes it much easier to listen from my phone, which I enjoy. I really appreciate the transparency and posing the question, though!

I watch the full video, and skip Youtube. I prefer Ed's (less) uninterrupted narrative.

I listen to the podcast feed and don't watch the video. As someone suggested, if you include a link to the cut YouTube video, then there would be less confusion and duplication of repeated content. Definitely keep the whole video here.

I prefer the entire video and I also enjoy the audio only podcast. I could listen to you two all day. longer the better IMO.

I use Patreon. I come here only and I expect to find all the content here. I don't use YouTube if I don't have to. Video needs to be full length. Podcast needs to be full length. The K.I.S.S. method applies when it comes to user experience.

I love the entire video. Having a short version on YouTube and a longer version gives me a chance to watch TWICE.
