Here's the finished Sock hair meme! I had SUCH a blast drawing this guy, can't believe I don't draw him very often. As always I'm reminded of just how enjoyable I find inking, that's where any characters' features really come together for me, especially the expression subtleties etc. Doing these memes actually gave me a really great throwback on what it was like working on Grimoire Noir, although a hefty amount of work, I really enjoyed working on a lot of it because I just adore drawing different character expressions and poses. 

Drawing these also made me realize that I don't actually have to start production on the prologue, and I can just go ahead and work on the first chapter regardless of whether the prologue is done or not.. not sure how this has never occurred to me before, hmm. As some of you guys know, I've got the prologue all laid out with relatively detailed sketches that I've been sitting on for about a month - I decided to do the prologue traditionally, and thus the move from condo into the house REALLY stalled me into oblivion at this point.

The most recent thing is that the weather finally turned into full-blown hot summer weather over here, and we discovered that the attic floor where our office rooms are gets SO HOT it's like a furnace up there. I was trying to work up there earlier today and felt like my computer was going to explode from how much noise it was making and the temperature it got up to lol... The good thing is that we're going to have AC installed up there next week, so thankfully it's a short-term issue and in the meantime I'm just working off of my laptop down in the kitchen. It's so insane how much the temperature drops from the 3rd floor/attic down to the second and first floors haha. The central AC just doesn't reach up there unfortunately...

Anyways! In the meantime I think I can start chipping away at chapter one layouts, since the script has been finished for ages, and even if I start executing chapter 1 before the prologue, there's nothing wrong with that at alll hahaha, and I'm excited at that prospect tbh. I am admittedly intimidated by the traditional prologue plan, since I've only really done comics digitally before to any serious degree. All my traditional stuff is still packed away while the studio remains barren ;u;

Last piece of news is this: some of you may remember one of my videos from last month or so with the subtitles, and the ongoing situation with my mom and her insane house purchase that also includes me. That situation has only deteriorated into something even worse with some recent flare-ups of my mom's behaviour... I just wanted to reiterate how much I appreciate all the comments you guys left here on that video, and I'm so grateful that you all are extremely understanding and recognize toxic behaviour when you see it. I just wanted to let you guys know that this is still a major stressor in the background, and I am having a hard time dealing with it at the moment... the situation is pretty dire but I think at least it's nearing some sort of conclusion soon because the closing date of that cursed house is June 15, although I am not sure what's going to happen then. Please pray for me that this somehow gets resolved in the least damaging way T_T. 

Sorry to end this on a bit of a downer! The good news is that i'm really getting back on track with my work/art at least x'D And I thank you guys so much for sticking around with me through this month even though I know I haven't been super active, and I'm really sorry about that!!
