Yoga, Fashion & Extreme Flexibility (Patreon)

This was a really fun and challenging photoshoot that combined fashion photography with the beauty and physicality of yoga.

The model’s yoga background and incredible flexibility gave us the opportunity to create some very unusual poses and body shapes. Instead of relying only on traditional fashion poses, we explored balance, stretching, movement and complex positions to create something more artistic and visually dynamic.

I really enjoy photographing models who can bring this kind of physical ability into a shoot, because it opens up so many creative possibilities. Some of the poses look effortless in the final photographs, but getting the body position, composition, lighting and timing right can take quite a bit of work behind the scenes.
