Now let's go behind the camera.

Yesterday I shared the first 5 images from this project. Today I'm opening up the process a little more.

Along with 5 new photographs, I'm sharing the behind-the-scenes video from the shoot.

One of the things I enjoy most about photography is seeing how an idea that exists in my head slowly becomes an actual image. The glass, the water, the red background, the lighting and Amara's movements all had to work together.

The final photographs may look calm and effortless, but there are always dozens of small decisions happening behind the camera — positioning, posing, light, timing and those little moments between the planned shots.
