NOW you know what cream gravy is. Good job! If you were to put cream gravy on chicken fried steak or fried chicken, you wouldn't add the sausage. Glad you enjoyed it!

Chicken fried steak is made from either flank steak, cube steak or hamburger steak but is breaded and fried like chicken. But yes, white (cream) gravy is poured over it and the mashed potatoes, French fries or hash browns that are in the side.
