Bypassed Rip and sent the new hand to Casey. That won't play well. He better be careful, because Rip knows where the bodies are buried--literally.

Any sensible person would have gone to the doctor the first time he had the pain and started vomiting blood. But John Dutton cannot be accused of being sensible.

It would have helped the doctors to diagnose him if he had ever bothered to go to the doctor and mention the pain and blood vomiting. The ulcer might have developed since the last time he had a cancer screening.

Rip is more loyal to John and the ranch then anyone. He has proven that time and time again. John gave him a second chance and a life. That is something he will never forget. Also, Casey's older brother Lee was running the ranch before not Rip. Rip runs the bunkhouse but it's always a Dutton in charge.
