A huge tell of Walt's motivations for me has always been how furioussss he is over Junior's fundraiser. It solves the issue of financial ruin and causes his family great joy and pride and happiness... yet he's bitter af that they don't recognize the money as his doing. He wants that awe and applause, that admiration, so much that he'd sooner pry it from his own child's hands and stomp down. Also, ooff. Notice the parallels between keeping the baby on its side, and then Jane also warning Jesse to stay on his side so as not to choke on his vomit, etc etc. The ending to this season is wild, man!
