Why would you adopt a child then try hard not to love him. Poor Jamie never had a chance. At least Beth got a taste of what it was to be Jamie when Dutton kicked her out and told her he was disappointed in her.

There is no way she can ever use that picture against Jamie. How many bodies are down in that gully? Bodies of people her husband killed, and her brother killed, and her father killed, and her friends killed? The last thing the Dutton Crime Family wants is anybody to start looking for bodies down in the gulch.
