Hi Demis, The combination with PL Saints Saws II.mid & LD Airy Mary.mid and the Sylenth1 sounds has a kind of 80s future style. Do you want to expand on that further?

Demis Hellen

That will be down to PL Saint Saws as this has a very 80's vibe to it. The sound is the thin detune spread which help bunch up the waveforms to create an authentic sound. The long release time also is key design too.

Also from the top of my head Airy Mary is a thinner supersaw stack too giving a thin but centred sound, great for layering with other thick leads such as LD Trancey. 😎

Hi Demis, Thank you for showing us the counter melody implementation, it’s really nice and integrates so well with the main melody, both melodically and in the sound design. In the future, could you share a few examples of how to write strong intro melodies (the kind that typically appear before the breakdown in uplifting trance)? I struggle with this part. I can create the main melody and the whole drop, but I have trouble coming up with something interesting for the beginning of the track. Could you show us a few different techniques to overcome this. Basically some “recipes” we can use to make something nice? Thanks again!
