Fun fact: The bus punk that Spock knocks out currently runs the Jim Henson Creature Shop. He’s an incredibly sweet guy and he made a return to this character in an episode of Star Trek: Picard recently. Also I’ve lived in the SF Bay Area my whole life and this is one of my favorite movies to take place here. The other is Scream which was filmed where I live. I even worked at the video store from Scream during college. The aquarium that they go to is the Monterey Bay Aquarium which is a WONDERFUL place to visit. Check out their Twitch and Youtube channels. They often stream their fish and coral forests.
