Nicki is beginning her Batman education at the very beginning - well almost the beginning - we did have her watch a little Adam West Burt Ward for context, but she will be journeying through Batman over the next year, watching the films from the 90s, the Nolan trilogy and Reeves' The Batman over on Criminal Content, and exploring the DCEU here!

Back when they cast Michael Keaton as Batman, very few people thought he looked the part.

Keaton was a performance that grew on many people - but I think is what defined the character for a long time. The more traditional idea of Batman was in the Animated Series.

Harley wasn’t created until Batman The Animated series a few years after this. The only person to ever play Harley in a movie is Margot Robbie. Before Margot the closest we got to Harley on camera was a cameo on the TV show Arrow, but we never saw her face and she was still voice by Arleen Sorkin who basically created the role. Sadly she passed this year. If you enjoy your Batman journey I hope you continue it and get to the Harley Quinn TV show cuz holy shit is it wonderful.

The best way to encapsulate the original TV 60s series is to watch Batman: The Movie with Adam & Burt.
