Hey Wayfies! 😊 Soooo I'm back! I landed in my home city around Wednesday night. Gosh what a trip. I was reading some of your comments while I was travelling, and I read that some of you wanted me to share some trip highlights... I know this is primarily an Art Page, but I also feel like it'll be a fun for me to share other sides of me that I don't usually share online. I'll be blurring our my face here cause I'm very shy and I'd like to keep a bit of privacy for myself. I'm sure you guys understand! haha Anywhoo if you're not into the whole Life Blog thingy, just skip to the end of this post (Art/Page Updates there) haha, but yeah, to those who wanna read up. Here it is!So we planned on going to Bacolod - Ilolio for the trip. I booked the tickets around August I think... feeling all optimistic, time passed, and the travel dates came near and lo and behold A STORM! (much like KH1 Sora's reaction haha when Destiny Islands got stormed) but the storm didn't affect our flight dates so we were like fuck it lets go. I also really didn't want to waste money since I spent a lot for the tickets and they were non refundable unless the airline decides to. So fly we did! We landed in Bacolod, and the city was in bad shape. Imagine post storm city, with trees down and phone wires down. I'm not complaining at all tho, cause the community there suffered the wrath of said storm... So we just respectfully went along, appreciating what we can and just experiencing the city as is. It was great nevertheless we had fun. Some Pics:

After that News came in and ANOTHER STORM was coming toward our country. It was bigger and stronger... We have to cross via boat to go to Iloilo City from Bacolod, and just my luck all boat operations ceased due to the storm. (Not complaining cause it was for everyone's safety). So by then we already checked out the hotel and we literally had no where else to go... In that moment we decided to visit my old man who lives south of the Island in Dumaguete City around 7 hours away by bus. It was sooo abrupt but staying in Bacolod city was also risky. Without a hotel and relatives around, we had to evacuate. We spent 2 days with my old man, just exploring his city. Just to share, this was my first time visiting him there. He lives in Dumaguete for work and he just comes home to my city to visit during holidays and such. So yeah, I wouldn't call us super close, but he's a good parent and I appreciate him a lot. He showed us around. Here are some pics!

So after that, and after confirming that the second storm has left our country, we booked a flight to Iloilo. Iloilo City being sooo near to go to via plane but boats haven't resumed so flying was the only option. With that, I was kinda caught off guard how small the aircraft was. I mean look at this thing it had propellers haha. It was my first time flying with something this small. I really felt like I was flying inside a sardine can. lol just kidding but my ignorance is sometime thru the roof. Flight went well tho!

Annnd we safely landed to Ilo ilo and we were back to our original itinerary. We had to condense our plans tho since we spend days in Dumaguete that should have been for Iloilo... It was a hectic Itinerary and I swear my legs were killing me whenever a day ended. We visited churches and museums and walked around the city. Being from a city kinda bad urban planning, being in Iloilo really felt like being in another world. The place has proper sidewalks dudes... like srsly I came from a city wherein sidewalks were for the rich people in gated communities haha anyway that's a story for another day. Some pics!

So after Iloilo we went home. Maaaaan I've never had a trip that went all over the place. I feel like I made plans but the travel gods were like nope nope nope WE HAVE PLANS FOR YOU. hahaha I'm just grateful we we're safe. During our travel dates, a lot of regions in my country did suffer a lot due to the storm (You can look it up Typhoon Tino and Typhoon Uwan. It's insane), so on my end I'm just really grateful nothing bad happened to us. It truly was an adventure. So the moment I got home, I gave my cats tight hugs and passed out. Forever changed but truly grateful. If you reached this far, I'd like to thank you for spending time reading my rambles. I do hope if there's one takeaway you guys get on this post is that when life gives you lemons, you make lemonades or something like that. Mind over matter, keep a level head. I truly had to improvise most of the trip and I feel like my bank account suffered the most because of the improvisations here but then again, I'm grateful that I'm somewhat prepared financially as well. The important thing is that I'm alive and well. Also, the Visayas Region of my country the Philippines is lovely! I mean look at them pics haha. You guys should visit it if you can. Just make sure you book in the summer season and not the storm season haha------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Happy that you’ve enjoyed the trip, imo you earned this R&R for how much you worked on the spice. Looking forward to what you got planned for the sets.

Thanks again! I definitely woke up a while ago feeling ultra refreshed... Regardless of how tiring the trip was, i feel like i'm ready to continue working. Like my creative juices are kind untapped right now and I cant wait to just draw. Anyways I truly learned a lot in this trip!
