[EN] Welcome to the audio course for the collection of advanced Latin language dialogues taken from the Confabulationes tironum litterariorum by Hermannus Schottennius Hessus. In this course, you will first learn the dialogue phrase by phrase, first in English, then in Latin.

When you are prompted with the English phrase, try to imagine the occasion where you would say or hear such an expression. After a brief pause, you will be given the Latin phrase, which you will repeat during the pause that follows. Then listen to the recording a second time.  Now when you are prompted with the English phrase, do your best to recall the Latin phrase, and say it aloud. Once you feel you have comfortably learned the dialogue, listen to the following audio recording which will be the same dialogue only in Latin at conversational speed.

[LA] Salūte plūrimā tē impertiō, cāre sodālis, ēn tibi seriem scholārum quibus perdiscēmus Confabulationes tironum litterariorum cujjus auctor est Hermannus Schottennius Hessus. Hīsce in scholīs, prīmum singulīs sententiīs dialogum discēs, prīmum Anglīce tunc Latīnē.

Quum verba Anglica audīs, imāgine fingās locum persōnāsve tibi nōtās quibus efferātur tālis locūtiō. Post breve temporis spatium, audiēs sententiam Latīnam, quam reddēs clārā vōce. Deinde iterum audiās eandem incīsiōnem. Jam quum audīs sententiam Anglicam, prō vīribus cōnāre meminisse sententiam Latīnam, eamque reddās clārā vōce. Quum commodior tibi vidētur sēnsus integer dialogī, tum sequentem audiās incīsiōnem quā continētur isdem dialogus Latīnus rapiditāte sermōcinandī.
