Attached are two zip files containing the entirety of the Athenaze UK vol 1 audio recordings I have made. These recordings are public and may be shared with anyone.

Index of all recordings

The beginner textbook Athenaze is most famous from it's semi-Ørbergized Italian incarnation, but the original UK version (available on Amazon at this link) confers many benefits on the student, especially when used in conjunction with the version from Italy.

I use the Lucian Pronunciation of Ancient Greek, and you can learn about it in this video, or by reading this Ancient Greek Pronunciation Guide I wrote, which also compares the various pronunciation systems.

Enjoy! 🏛 🐄 👨‍🌾

The link takes people to the 2nd edition of Athenaze. I strongly recommend the 3rd revised edition. The second edition is riddled with typos and other errors.

Much obliged for the input, though the revised 2nd edition is just fine. It’s the 3rd edition that is regarded by most as unusable and unfortunately restructured.

Thanks for the response. I've taught with Athenaze for over 20 years (non conversational) and hated the pre-revised second edition since errors were everywhere. I am currently teaching with the 3rd edition and like it much better. I'd be curious to hear more about what people don't like about the 3rd edition. Can you direct me to an informed discussion on the topic? Thanks!

Wait, do you recommend BOTH the UK and Italian version, to be used at the same time?
