Uzo

A roman eating a twix was something I didn’t know I wanted until now xD. That was brilliant

Part Ii exceeds any expectations. So clever. Bravo! Optime!

Finished reading Ranieri reverse Recall- found also ANKI there, which I didn't know. Thanks for a wonderful tool. Left you a nice comment in Good Reads

That’s so nice of you! Thanks so much, Alex. I’m really happy if you found it useful.

Another: Some time ago you recommended to me in Discord, I look at San Giovanni. Great area. Rented an AirBnB for April there. Will be fun to practice my poor Italian.

Nathan Binns

Missed opportunity to give him a Mars Bar, haha.

Memrise is also a really good useful tool if you are looking for something to help with learning vocab

Luke Amadeus Ranieri

Not a missed opportunity. They don’t exist in the US, so I went with this joke instead. But I have since brought several back from Europe for the next time.

Yeah, I noticed the plautean vocab (like "Apage", "verbero" also "hercle" instead of "mehercle"... the tendency of "quo pacto" instead of "quo modo") though all of the "plautean" vocab is not exclusivly plautean (so it is actually a great source for everyday language by the non-elite)

Luke Amadeus Ranieri

That’s right; I used several direct quotes from Plautus actually in this one. It’s antiquated by 1cAD standards but at least it’s authentic

Matthis Bischoff

Well, some of the vocab like "Apage" is also found in later authors such as Apuleius...

Matthis Bischoff

And Verbero is also used by Cicero, Apuleius and Aulus Gellius. To sum it up: As usually you did a great job.

Soulful Serenity

Hahaha ohhh tu es optimus! Gratias quidem plurimum!
