ahem i think you didnt know stuff correctly. they are actualy somewhat like a tooth (hollow with a nerve and blood vessels. usualy there is a bone structure under them). sorry if i sound rude.

You mean antlers. animals with antlers have an skin that dies after an time, after that its just dead bone. You could use a saw to get an part or just wait. After an time(depends on the animal, usually summer/fall or spring) they lose it.
