You won’t find that kind of storyline on Doctor Who! this episode was written by Chris Chibnall who would later go on to become a future showrunner. The alien is never given a name in the episode, although in Torchwood Declassified, ( a 15 minute behind the scenes show) RTD refers to it as the "sex gas orgasm-eating monster". To film the exploding rat sequence, Brian Kelly filmed a rat in a cage, and then replaced it with a fur covered condom filled with "chicken bits" and red dye to simulate guts, then exploded it with a squib. Rat Jam! It’s a sex gas monster not much to say about it really gets a heater from me. Happy New Year Shan.

I asked about Gwen because you have seen the actress in Doctor Who. You have a reputation for recognising actors from other shows.

Jim Lewis

Damn, quick to pause at the end there, bet your a wizz at snap lol.

Russel T Davies said that with an adult show dealing with aliens & monsters, the expectations is eventually you do a "sex alien/monster" story, so they decided to do it at the start & just get it out of the way

Jeez Shan, talking about Eve's tooth gap. What's Santa going to say when he finds out one of his elves is making light of someone's physical attributes... 🤔😏😉🤣

Stargazer1682

"He came and went." That line just about makes this episode worth it; especially coming from Jack. No more PG restrictions for John Barrowman. Hard PG-13, flirting with R; just the way God intended.

Ricky

Ahhh. Shan's face at *that* scene.

Wow, this episode left a lot of problems. The possessed girl goes home to dad, meanwhile the nurse she worked with and punched out is going to report that half a dozen patients in the clinic have gone missing minutes after this girl punched her out. Not to mention her ex boyfriend has gone missing. I'll ignore the one in the club that they "replaced" the body on. That's a lot missing people that this girl has to account for.
