The term is Shondaverse not Greysverse for your info. Yes, it is very disrespectful, especially that they have hijacked her wedding that she made clear she didn't want to be a big deal. I love Addie, but i get so much second hand embarrassment when she is in the elevator. Yes, this is a backdoor pilot. (there are a couple of cast changes before the series) I love Callie's bridesmaid speech The scene with Meredith and her father talking was nice. It's co-op medicine, they share patients, so all the doctors know about all the patients, it's explained more in this ep, the next and Private Practice. Yep, Burke really is pushing Cristina and it is not okay. Oh Addie... You need to watch the first episode of Private Practice, it is a continuation not just a re-do of the backdoor pilot.

That’s probably my fault. I’ve used Greysverse a few times in the comments referring specifically to the shows connected to Greys (Private Practice and Station19) whereas Shondaverse refers to to all the shows by shonda including the ones that are totally unrelated to greys (like How to get away with Murder, Bridgerton and Scandal) and wouldn’t be watched in parallel. It’s very possible i got the terms wrong though!

That makes sense, i have never heard it called Greysverse, just Shondaverse.

I wasn’t sure if i was gonna say anything but yeah you figured it out anyway this and the next episode in this 2-parter is the backdoor pilot to Private Practice. That show starts with a continuation of this episode (so you would want to watch the pilot of that too, it’s not a replay of this) and season 1 (which is a short season of 9 episodes) runs parallel to the start of Greys season 4. (with the PP episode coming first) One cast change which i won’t say who but the rest is carried over and the story continues from this 2-part episode. This episode does feel a bit odd. The private practice scenes have a different vibe and pacing which i think is good in general but when mixed in with Greys it’s a bit all over the place i feel like. Just makes the episode very difficult to follow. It feels very fitting that everyone is more excited for the wedding than Cristina is. I’m still against this wedding even if i find the build up somewhat entertaining… 2 people in this episode from Once Upon a Time! Jiminy Cricket/Archie and Dr Frankenstein/Dr Whale both as patients in the California practice. Yeah i know exactly what you mean with Addison not asking what that means at the end. It always feels weird when a character knows something and asks a very obvious question or says something like “oh so that means i can’t xyz” or whatever. Always comes across as forced.

I need to catch up on Greys anatomy lol I only ever saw some of S1 but this part 1 makes me wanna watch from beginning

Do it! It has its ups and downs of course like any show, but the drama and discussions you can have from it are second to none imo!

It’s amazing to have three spin off shows from Grey’s Anatomy, did anyone recognize Blaine DeBeers from iZombie? he played Jim (one of the 3 guys the pregnant lady slept with. My favorite character didn’t show up until the real pilot episode of Private Practice ; Dr. Charlotte King, the blonde with the deep southern accent and the attitude to go with it.
