Heyyy Shan you know who here you asked how long do companions travel with the Doctor for (trust me can of worms rabbit hole that you do not want to go down) Time is relative in Whoniverse but I like to think that so far Rose got two years, Martha got one year (and one that only she and her family will remember) and Donna is still on her gap year. Luke Rattigan from incel to hero what a character arc. *sings* interesting things of note* RTD added Billie Piper in as Rose when he learned how successful her unbilled cameo in Partners in Crime was. The Doctor says to the clone Martha, "Avanti", which means "Let's go" in Italian. This is probably to confirm his suspicion of her clone nature. The real Martha would know that the Doctor usually says "Allons-y", the French equivalent of “Let’s go” Donna was originally meant to use a shoe to knock out the Sontarans, but because Catherine Tate only wears trainers, including her stint as the runaway Bride, but they didn't want it to be a trainer, or they thought a trainer would be too soft and just bounce off the back of the neck. So she got to use a mallet instead, back of the net. When interviewed on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Catherine Tate stated that she had been filming alongside ten actors playing Sontarans for two weeks before she realised that there were actors inside the Sontaran costumes. She had assumed the Sontarans "ran on electricity". It was not until an actor removed his helmet to reveal his real face that she realised her mistake. She stated she was "freaked out" by this and said she "nearly died". And away we go for some more three way shenanigans, you can always have more than one companion as long as they know about each other wink wink nudge nudge. You got the "Are you my mommy" reference much faster than me. I had to think on it for about a half minute. Shan, you have a theory it could be bunnies or maybe midgets? But weren't these villains little people, can't do that twice in a row. Bunnies. Bunnies. Must be bunnies. This season has been good so far. Too bad ep 4 you were too distracted to fully enjoy. Oh well, crap happens. Good news, Whovians got a super Who week. Bad news, Torchwoodians lost their wood this week.🥀

Clones vs. hypnotized, why have both. I think the main reason they said last episode when they made the Martha clone, they needed something more sophisticated I think was the word. The hypno-drones seem pretty dazed and under control of something, but the Martha clone had more nuance to her and could act on her own. This is a decent 2-parter for me. Rattigan just annoyed me too much, but I liked everything else.

They didn't just hypnotize Martha because it would then be far to obvious that she was acting different and they don't want people to figure out she's not acting like herself. I said in the first part it was nice to see Donna's grandpa again, not so much with her mother. "Are you my mommy", I love that line and your reaction. This was a decent 2 parter, I was a little annoyed with the genius kid though, I get he was lonely and didn't feel like he could connect with anyone, but he tried to kill everyone on the planet and he seemed to be enjoying killing people so, yeah.
