Heyyy what’s up you guys Master Pooper here droppin’ some more Who knowledge for your noggin. Geddit?! Dropping! Poop drops from your arse! Master… Pooper… dropppppiiing (ba dum tsh) Anyways… Donna wasn’t in this episode much because Catherine Tate was filming the next episode Turn Left. Shan guessed it half way through, It’s referred to as ‘companion-lite’ David Troughton, who played the annoying Professor Hobbes, is the son of Patrick Troughton, who played the Second Doctor. RTD wrote this script in three days he said he was inspired by Star Trek TNG episode "Darmok" it was two things that intrigued him the most - the idea of an alien that communicates in a completely different way and how children mimic adults when there being annoying or playing that game. From what I’ve heard from Leslie sharp (Skye Silvestry) the hardest parts of dialogue to film were the ones in which her and David were meant to be totally in sync, as there needed to be a shot of the both of them in camera at the same time delivering the same lines with the same intonation. And yes that is the Merlin kid (kid-he was 22) This was made in the same year. I like to think Dee Dee never went back to work for the Professor instead she handed in her notice and became a science teacher in a school. The woman in red Val Cane played Carol Jackson in BBC soap opera Eastenders for years before this. She was mother to 5 unruly children of different ages with different Fathers and different ethnic backgrounds and I really loved her in that. 8.05 million viewers when it aired making Midnight the 5th most watched programme on British television for the week. Three roses and 5 stars from me I love this episode I think you could make it on stage in a theatre and it would still be absolutely amazing. You can’t tell me you weren’t locked in for 45 minutes, glued to the screen wondering what it was or what was gonna happen next. Shan - what character would you be in a crisis situation? Cool calm collected? Making people laugh Paranoid

This was the first episode of Doctor Who i ever saw as we watched it in English class as an example of building tension without giving away too much. It wasn't until years later that i 'properly' watched Doctor Who from the start of New Who but I never forgot this episode, and because of that it will always have a special place in my heart.

This episode is both creepy and fascinating because of the Midnight Entity (that is what the creature is called). That woman called Sky was very scary the first time I watched this and the fact that we never find out what the entity was is even more scary. But out of all of the passengers who SO annoying, was the mum acting like some entitled bitch. Really good bottle episode.

I found this episode very interesting. Almost a horror story. I've seen Twilight Zone epsidoe that was story wise, very similar.

“Hey what’s up you guys, aftershow reacts here and today I’m going to be reacting to some more doctor who” I’m mimicking you Molto bene Allons-y

This is hands-down one of the best episodes. Some flaws I could nitpick, but a really great study of mob mentality, and probably the best I've seen from Who in terms of pure horror and suspense. Frustrating, yes, how the people behave- but I think that's the point.
