Happy Christmas everybody! A Doctor Who Christmas Special at Christmas time, feels like 2008 all over again. Jam Master Jay back again with some more Who news. (Written in the style of a news report I’ve tried to make it sound like you’re reading it off a teleprompter to an audience, don’t worry it’s a one time occurrence. (Have you got anything that goes *bong*) *Bong* Today’s top stories with Shan. The set for the cyberfactory is actually the Torchwood Hub set cleverly disguised. *Bong* Original names for Christmas special revealed. This episode was originally called the Court of the Cyber King. *Bong* Today’s factual news. David Tennant is from Scotland *Bong* more things of interest now coming to you live from Shan HQ David Morrissey was only cast five days before filming. Today’s headlines again from Shan. David Morrissey was enjoying rumours of his employment as the next Doctor, he told reporters on-set that he was influenced by The First Doctor William hartnell and the most popular of the time Tom Baker. You saw them both in the info stamp. *Bong* Original plans for Christmas special revealed. Shan has more. The original plan for the Christmas special was a fantastical adventure in which J.K. Rowling would appear as herself in a world driven by her own imagination. David Tennant disliked this notion, he felt the story would veer too close to self-parody. Bear in mind he was in The Goblet of Fire at this point. Late news reports just in suggest Martin Clunes was originally cast as Jackson Lake but pulled out due to reasons unknown. And now for The weather. (Look out the window) Any news from the field reporters willow and smudge? And finally ratings for the Christmas episode - 13 million viewers on airing Christmas Day 2008. Not my favourite but the story made sense - Actually I think this ranks as my least favourite Who Christmas special. This news report was bought to you by jam master jay and Aftershow reacts thanks for watching.

Weren't you just talking about amnesia plots? It's also a fake out episode.

WTH, why do we have 2 Doctors. Is this a regeneration screw-up because of the weird regeneration thing that happened in previous episode with the Doctor’s hand. Kind of like creating a second Slayer because one died but was revived. Hmm, we have Cyberkitty, well the good news is we can stop them with a ball of string or some Cyber-catnip. My theory is that this guy was brainwashed to think he is the Doctor. LoL hid “sonic screwdriver” is just a screwdriver. Shan, you had me giggling like a 12 year old talking about the guy using his “thingy” when talking about the screwdriver. The balloon TARDIS is "Tethered Aerial Release Developed in Style." lol Yeah, my theory is looking better with the Jackson guy info, I bet this fake Doctor is this Jackson guy. The set for the cyberfactory is actually the Torchwood Hub set. Oh No, It’s Mecha-Cyberman, someone get Godzilla and King Kong. I was OK with this episode. But I like the Cybermen and the Daleks and enemies.

Merry Christmas, everyone (sorry for being late). I always thought this was a decent episode because we got the cybermen back and them being in Victoria London gave the story a steampunk feel and when I saw the teaser I really did think David Morrisey was a future version of the Doctor. There have been moments in classic Who, when doctors have met past versions as form of crossover.

You asked how was Christmas for us, It was pretty chill for me all things considered. My new job is at an airport so I spent my first Christmas an an airport, there was snow & ice so a lot of flights got cancelled which made work a lot easier & I spent most of my shift watching my backlog of YouTube videos on my phone. Hope it was good for you and the kitties. For this episode, part of me was disappointed that Jackson Lake wasn't actually a future Doctor. I thought that could've been interesting to have him run into a future version of himself, but I also get that it probably wouldn't be good to force a commitment like that. David Morrisey would've either had to have literally be the next Doctor after Tennant, or sometime way in the future where he would be way older & not look the same, or so far in the future that we would probably never see him on screen again & that would be pointless Either way, I think he did a good job being The Doctor for a short period & I'm a little sad we don't get more because I think David Morrisey could've definately pulled off playing The Doctor for real.
