Definitely feels like Bailey deserves to be made an attending, but yes the timing after last episode does feel a bit weird. I really like Arizona’s pep talk to Bailey. It does feel like Pediatric surgery would be a good place for Bailey if she could get over the mental block. Honestly she probably needs to get over that mental block either way because as a General Surgeon she’d have child patients. Very out of the blue for Arizona and Callie. I’m here for it though, seems like she’d be a better fit for callie than Sadie. I always think opposites attract to some extent and from what we’ve seen of Arizona so far she’s bright and bubbly and a good contrast to driven and somewhat stern Callie.

Patrick - Excelsior

The autistic doctor talking about a hugging machine used by autistic people. There is an autistic savant woman named Temple Grandin that got a PhD Doctorate in Animal Sciences. While studying cattle in a device that holds them for branding, she notices how the cattle become much more calm when the device is pressing against their sides. She does self-test by climbing into it herself and realizes that it works on her as well. So she then builds a “hugging machine” in her dorm room to aid her when she becomes overwhelmed. This type of device is now used by autistic people all over the world as well as weighted blankets that stimulate a similar response. I actually have one, the pressure on my body while I’m laying down helps with sleep. But the one I got is too heavy. I have trouble breathing with it on my chest. I need to get a lighter one. Awww, Derek wants Meredith’s crappy babies. How romantic. Cristina using the newly learned hugging technique to calm Hunt down after he saw that blonde girl. What’s with that. Damn Arizona. Laying lips on Torres. WTH is going on with Derek and the phone call.
