The bathroom outlet was a GFCI outlet, which is designed to very quickly cut off the flow of electricity at the outlet when something happens like a plugged in toaster falling in the tub. They're often used in bathrooms/kitchens/garages. Alternatively, you can have one at the breaker panel instead of at the outlets. As I understand it, in Australia they use "safety switches" at the breaker panel. https://home.howstuffworks.com/question117.htm The outlets have a red reset button to return them to functioning after they're tripped. There's also a black test button that can be used to manually trip it. After Harry walks away, she pressed the red reset button to restore power to the outlet. She had used the test feature to disable the outlet before getting in the tub. Basically, they were showing that she really was just bluffing.
