I agree 100%, baseball batting the ring was disrespectful to his mother, father, and siblings. I’m sure they would rather have the ring, if Derek didn’t any more. Just losing it was a spit in the face to all of them. Not to mention very rude way to treat Meredith. Interesting, you handled the head without a face better than the face without a head. I like that they are showing the Scooby gang in a position to be the Bailey’s to their own interns. Trying to get them to stop doing the same stupid stuff they did when they were first years. It’s a torch passing moment. Yes, faceless dude has some awesome friends. Derek hit that ring with the bat at night into the woods on grass covered in leaves. It could be anywhere in a 100 foot radius from where he was standing. But, if he got a metal detector, he has good chance of finding it. And he can definitely afford a metal detector. Cristina being very compassionate and supportive of Izzy here. Putting Izzy’s wellbeing before her own career and a solo surgery. How un-Cristina of her. She was pushing Izzy to fight the cancer. She even held her hand on the bench near the end. Very sweet. Also very touching to see the Scooby gang there around Izzy’s bed at the end.

I agree I think the “Little grey” nickname while it is cute, i’m not a fan of it especially from a significant other. It does feel infantilising. I hate that it becomes everyone’s job to comfort Derek because he made a mistake. Just grow up man. It really is all the male characters that are awful in this show… Derek and Richard are the worst right now, but George and Alex have their moments and Owen has only been here this season but he’s hardly covered himself in glory so far. I do enjoy the concept of this subplot with the interns presumably love triangle all happening off camera and we just see little bits of it. Honestly yeah. While yes it’s not for Cristina to say, it’s very much in Izzie’s best interest that these other people know about her condition. Izzie was only able to tell Cristina as the person that she’s the least close to. As harsh as it was, I think that’s was exactly what Derek needed to hear. I still think it’s pathetic that he needed to he babied and almost blackmailed into coming back to do his job, but it worked I suppose.
