Sometimes the video is unavailable to stream as it takes time to process. This means you may have to download it to watch the reaction. Sorry about that!

Another minor rant HOW can you hate that song. It’s the theme from MASH , one of the most beloved TV shows ever!!! Now if it was the version either the lyrics from the original movie that spawn the series I could see folks having issues with the problematic title and themes (Suicide is Painless). But this is the instrumental version and people still well up when it plays and we think of the closing scene of the series finale. Ok another rant done and I’m glad you like the wacky, weird, yet touching nature of this show. 😁

OK, now we have a problem. The song that played during the helicopter scene is one of my top five favorite songs. I actually suprised you even know it. Its the theme song to the show M.A.S.H. DId you know it has words? The name of the song is "Suicide Is Painless" Several instrumental versions of the song were used as the theme for the TV series, but the lyrics were never used in the show. The vocal version from the film's opening credits became a number-one hit in the UK Singles hart in May 1980. The song was ranked No. 66 on AFI's 100 Years...100 Songs. Song writer Johnny Mandell was supposed to write it, but was unable to come up with anything so he asked his 15 son to write it. Mandell received $70,000 for his work on movie but his son got $1,000,000 for the somg due to royalties.
