Sorry about the zombies. I often forget about the dream doctor. Which one would you choose?

What’s up you guys, you know Who back again. Jam master Jayyyy bitchez. A working title for this story was “The Dream Lord” sounds a bit Andrew Lloyd Webber does west-end show about Freddy Krueger to me but what do I know. Aren’t you a theatre chick? Or a former dancer/ performer on stage, I think I heard that somewhere a long time ago and honestly I’m at that age now where I don’t know if it’s fact or fiction Technically, the entire episode took place in the TARDIS, but you can’t call it a bottle episode as it uses locations and sets. This is the first story of Series 5 not to have any cracks in Time and Space. Karen Gillan had to wear a latex prosthetic stomach bump for the scenes which depicted Amy as pregnant. She claimed it made her feel more mature and cited it as her favourite part of filming the series. She said this in Doctor Who magazine but behind the scenes videos show her throwing the bump around like a mad thing and yes, it was hilarious. Simon Nye (who wrote this episode) was best known for creating the excellent 90’s British sitcom Men Behaving Badly, which was produced by Steven Moffat's mother-in-law Beryl Vertue. So ofc it features Rory whacking an old woman with a stick and throwing an old lady off a roof, that’s very on brand for the comedy writer. Steven Moffat suggested the idea of the dream split to Simon Nye, who was also influenced by his own dreams and sometimes wondering if they were real. Nye believed that the dream world was consistent with other alternate universes within the series. The Dreamlord Toby Jones has been in everything from Hunger Games, Titanic, Harry Potter, Sherlock, Agent Carter and never turned in a bad performance. How many outfits did the Dream Lord have? Shan called it in the first 10 minutes when she said “why does he look like the Dr?” Because he was, an alternate evil version of him but still. Overnight ratings were 6.2 million happy viewers no complaints, two and a half roses. One of my favourites from season 5. Drink some water, take your meds, touch some grass, you don’t need alcohol to have fun, behave… or not, remember even Buffy was bad… once.

When I was this episode I thought the guy who plays the Dream Lord looks familiar. I looked him up, didn't see him in anything I recognised, but found out he voiced Dobby the House Elf in Harry Potter. So if you think about the Doctor and his friends are being terrorised by an evil Dobby, just give him a sock and he'll leave. Plus this episode came out in 2010, the same year as Inception did. "Coincidence I think NOT!"
