So yeah I just watched 4x14 and I have some feelings I'm sitting here wondering how Morgan's group managed to survive for so long I mean ...These people really have the survival instincts of a group of horny teenagers in a horror movie They escape a horde and decide to hide in a hospital ...Well ...Hide is probably the wrong word there when they're actively trying to challenge evolution by standing there staring at the walkers through open windows in broad daylight These people are a special kinda stupid ...It's like their lights are on and they're trying to lick the lightbulbs ...Get away from the damn windows you idjits! ...You're over there having full on lengthy conversations with eachother while there's a bunch of walkers in clear view trying to get in and eat you alive! It takes them half the damn episode and a breach of said windows by some hungry walkers to come up with the plan to go up higher ...Cause ..Y'know ..When being chased by a horde of hungry walking corpses (or anything that's trynna kill you) ..Always go to higher ground .....To a place with only ONE exit ...The way you came! Turns out the group was just straight chillin' on the ground floor the entire time and didn't even bother to clear their surroundings ...As seen when they go up a few floors and there's walkers behind basically every fucking door they pass And if their earlier show of idiocy isn't enough ...What really shows they got the self preservation skills of a person trying to argue with a pissed off elephant..... Is that they decide to block a door with a hospice bed ...Y'know ...One of them bishes that comes on a set of wheels ...And to make matters worse (cause why not try to at this point amiright? ...buckle up ..we're going full retard) ...They decide to stack this bed with several other objects that can also EASILY. be moved Oh and they didn't even bother to ...I dunno ...Use Al's metal stick and shove that through the handles of the door to y'know ..REALLY. make sure those doors wouldn't open with the force of a sneeze They then somehow turned the generators back on (cause those definitely didn't run out of juice) and then make it into the elevator ...Cause ofcourse that's the only way to get the guy in the wheelchair to stay alive through all of this and make it to the roof ...A place they FOR SURE will be able to make it off of much more easily This being one of the most laughable attempts at survival ever would've been the perfect moment to insert a shot of them in the elevator... I imagined them just silently staring while they go up and there's some elevator music going on ...Maybe one of them coughs ..Looking at you Jim ..Just as a little hint of things to come Anyways ..This elevator somehow takes them to the roof ..Cause ..That's a thing ...Pretty fucking sure they stated moments earlier they were already on the top floor so by my calculations the ONLY. way to get to the roof would be the stairs they used earlier ...But I dunno ..Maybe Murican hospitals are just built different? ..shrug By sheer miracle ..If you believe in such a thing at this point.. The roof is also completely empty ...No additional walkers ...No survival tents or anything ..Nobody apparently had the idea to ride it out on top of this hospital roof with maybe an S.O.S. sign or something ..Cause ofcourse nobody is THAT. stupid Oh and it turns out Jimbo got bit? ..AS. IF. you wouldn't be feeling that shit in the moment ...I thought I got cut up by some glass ...Puh-leasssseee!! But also ..Kudos to that walker for being able to get a bite like that in while Jim was wearing a shirt and blouse and the walker was on top of him not under him ...Yeah you can go back and kinda see when he got bit ...But that undead mofo was QUICK. ...It's almost like these walkers are becoming smarter than the survivors (not a big leap to take though really) Do I need to mention that their whole plan was to hide inside a hospital INSIDE. what looks like a whole damn city!? ...Cities are probably the 2nd WORST. of all places to hide during a zompocalypse ...Hospitals probably take the number one spot ...At this point I'm wondering if the braindead walkers are smarter than the people that are still alive and if we as the audience chose to side with the wrong team Oh and then we end with a scene featuring Alicia and Charlie ...Who ..Instead of trying to find the group ..Decided to go to the beach (well ..I don't really think that qualifies as a beach ..and if I was Charlie I'd be one annoyed teenager ..but whatever ..we don't have time for this ..the episode is almost over) ...And even though Charlie got both Alicia's brother and mum killed ...Alicia apparently didn't care THAT. much about them and decided to take the opportunity to turn this trip into a nice bonding moment with the girl that killed / is responsible for killing half her family Bish ..If this doesn't turn into a "Look at the flowers" moment ...I ...I ..I dunno what ...Like ...This whole damn episode felt like a fever dream of bad choices and then these 2 are having a girly moment like they're now all of a sudden besties? Hopefully the next 2 episodes will make sense One plus point though ...Pretty sure I didn't catch June mention the word "leave" or any variation of it even once during these 2 episodes ...That's some GHUGE. character growth right there (Future Tony here: I'll be back with more notes ...Lemme know if I forgot to post them ...I had some stuff to say about the last 2 episodes of Season 4 aswell ..All good though ..This show is pretty hilarious sometimes) Anyways ....Continue
