-- I've been informed there may be audio issues with this reaction, it may be difficult to hear me. There is an option on whatever player you're using to watch where you can change the audio track to hear just me if you're unsure what I have said. Sorry!!--

The musical score to this episode is near identical to that of the "Police Academy" film series; one of the movies to which this episode pays tribute. When the guys enter the dorm room while chasing the bad guy, there is a poster on the wall of Hot Fuzz (2007). This is a reference to a previous reaction done by Shan. 😉 Technically you have not seen ALL the Karate Kid movies. You have not seen The Next Karate Kid (1994). Just saying. You are right in saying it’s a missed opportunity to have Ralph Macchio in an episode and not do a bunch of Karate Kid references. I get they were doing a homage to the Police Academy movies, fine. Then they should have used Ralph for a different storyline where they could to the KK references. There were a LOT of Police Academy references. Including the entire sound track (except the theme song to Psych, that was the usual).

I like childish humor, so when Carlton said beat off to Ralph Macchio, I laughed my ass off. If this episode had to do with karate and Ralph Macchio was in it and not a lot of reference to the Karate Kid, I'd be upset, although I wish they had more references than just two, but I still enjoyed this episode because i love Police Academy and they had a bunch in this episode so I was happy.
