I really enjoyed this reaction and i know what you mean regardless of anything the king should take his son's word if he says something important to him and not just believe someone else

I know I'm late for this but, RIP Anthony Head. From Buffy to Merlin to Ted Lasso and Doctor Who, you had a great life and amazing career. You will be missed :'(

Michael

[Edit] I had commented that Julianna Margulies was Morgana in this series. [She wasnt.]

Dave Walker

No not her, Morgana Pendragon is played by Irish actress Katie McGrath from Jurassic World and Supergirl, Also read for the role of Daenerys Targaryen.

Hi. It’s never too late, I’m thinking to request a movie with Anthony for August, and I still watch new reactions of Buffy. The latest movie I saw Anthony in was the movie “Upgraded”(2024).

If Arthur could say he had personally seen it, he would have. They were very clear that the king could take the word of a knight against another knight, and Arthur is a knight. The problem here was that Arthur was basing his accusation on the word of Merlin, which in this world of chivalry means nothing against the word of a knight.

David

Knight Valiant planned to be judicious in when he chose to activate the snakes. The plan was to do it when the shield was up against Arthur in a position where nobody else would be able to see, like how they didn't see it in the first fight. Of course, it would be very suspicious to also have Arthur die with a snake bite mark on his body after the prior accusation. As far as you being upset about Gaius' predictions about how Merlin's accusations would go, I think that's just because you didn't rewatch the pilot. In the pilot, the King Uther and Prince Arthur we're introduced to are rather flawed. Arthur is a bully that Merlin stands up to. Merlin ends up in the pillory, and they continue to clash. Merlin saves Arthur despite struggling over it because of his disdain for him. When we're introduced to Uther, he is having someone executed for performing some non-malicious magic. At the end of the episode, he "rewards" Merlin for saving Arthur's life by making him Arthur's servant. As far as the severe differences between the royalty in this and Game of Thrones - this is based strongly on the idea of chivalry, where knights are supposed to be beacons of truth and honor. Game of Thrones doesn't really have chivalry. The nobility in Game of Thrones are accepted to be opportunistic, conniving, and self-serving.

Michael

You are correct, and I was mistaken. I think the two do look very similar though. Its been a long time since I have watched Merlin.
