You haven't seen enough 80s movies if you don't immediately recognize the bartender as Corey Feldman. He was also in a famous 80s vampire movie.

You are correct Shan. ‘AB negative’ blood is far more rare than ‘O negative’. But ‘O neg’ is a universal blood type, meaning no matter what your blood type is, you can safely receive ‘O neg’. This makes it the most desirable type for hospitals and emergency services. The guy that played the bartender at the vampire bar is Corey Feldman. Famous for among other things, being in one of the renowned vampire movies The Lost Boys (1987). The song that plays in the background upon his first appearance in the episode, "Cry Little Sister," was also featured prominently in The Lost Boys. The first victim is named Hamilton Deane. Hamilton Deane was the playwright of the stage version of Dracula. The weird eye zoom in/freeze cut to next scene they did on Krity Swanson in the middle of episode was an homage to a series, The Night Stalker. I loved this series as a child and still watch episodes once in a while. It was about a trash magazine reporter that specialized in strange macabre stories he would investigate. They always turned out to be supernatural killers that he would eventually. In the pilot episode, the killer was a vampire. When Shawn announces his belief that the killer is a vampire, Gus yells "Sookie is mine!". The is a nod to the HBO series True Blood which someone I know reacted to the first season. (shameless plug assist). Shawn dresses up as Lestat from the movie Interview with the Vampire (1994). Marlowe's third roommate is named Lucien, who is Michael Sheen's character in Underworld (2003). A movie I plan on requesting one day. When the group goes to Lassiter's house to save him from supposedly being attacked by Marlowe during his date, Shawn yells "Let the right ones in!". This is a nod to the vampire movie Let the Right One In (2008). That grenade candle Lassie lights is a style of grenade called a pineapple. Awww, Lassie in love.

Since nobody else said it.. This episode was written and directed by James Roday Rodriguez. Yet another episode by Shawn himself that's full of references to other shows and movies. -- added later -- Currently watching the episode you're about to watch and for the past couple of episodes I've noticed something and had to confirm it Some of the shots during the intro of the cast is from bloopers... Maggie Lawson's huge smile for instance is from 6x01 ..Jules took the lie detector test and Maggie couldn't keep from laughing for some reason There's also a somewhat character breaking shot of Corbin Bernsen as you can see Henry smirking and about to laugh.. Which is odd ..Have you ever seen Henry laugh? Didn't think so Maybe you'll spot these moments too the next time the intro plays

I loved this episode, it referenced my favorite vampire tv and movies like The Lost Boys, the first vampire movie I ever saw and it had Corey Feldman in this episode from that movie, he was the bartender, he was also in The Goonies which you reacted to like six years ago. I am so happy Lassiter has a girlfriend now, yup Kristy Swanson played Buffy in 1992 and now is Lassiter's girlfriend Marla in 2011, so 19 years older. I like when psych does these theme episodes, they do them good in my opinion.
