The Capaldi era has begun, and I’ll start by saying wouldn’t Clara have the easiest time getting used to the new Doctor because she saw all of his previous incarnations? It’s not like she didn’t know this shit was inevitable. Anyways… Tennants fourth story was about Robots on a spaceship harvesting material from humans to survive, that’s what Capaldis Doctor meant by seeing all this before. The rubber mask Capaldi pulled off his face was made to look like Matt smiths face and the old guy he was talking to in the alleyway was married to the late Sarah Jane Smith. Capaldi addressed most of the issues you and new Whovians had when they found out he got the part, “why is he so old now?” “Wasn’t he in a previous episode?” Even the Doctor asked himself ‘who frowned me this face’ it’s a way for the show to say look we know okay! But hold on to your wage packets we’re giving you an answer just not all at once. Michelle Gomez is the perfect person to play this role. Also the third person to come from Scotland in this episode. The Doctor and the “Green meanie” Madam Vastra being the others. If you have the time go and watch her in the first series of Green Wing. It’s an English version of Scrubs but more alternative. Personally I thought he looked like a magician when his new ‘fit’ was revealed. And it was definitely missing a bow tie. Matty’s second goodbye was a genuine surprise and I thought it was beautiful, a real moment of “passing the torch” but also it had never been done before and for a show that focuses on time travel I thought this was funny. See ya later alligator.

So it begins for Shan. We even got to see her own attack eyebrows. Who's Missy? Will Shan figure it out before the reveal? I didn't. The reference to a long scarf has to do with the 4th Doctor's outfit.

That Trex is waaaay too big. It shows him being about 2/3s the height of Big Ben. The largest T-Rex fossil ever found was less than 9 meters tall. Big Ben is 96 meters tall. At one point The Doctor asks a pedestrian, "Have you seen this face before?" This is a tongue-in-cheek reference to his previous roles on the show. When Clara is trying to get the sonic screwdriver back to the doctor and almost misses, The Doctor says "It's at times like this I miss Amy." This is a reference to Amy Pond, The mask the Doctor is wearing to pose as one of the robots is the face of Matt Smith. The cyborgs made the restaurant out of parts from a spaceship called SS Marie Antoinette, which is a sister ship to the SS Madame de Pompadour. The latter ship was a setting in “The Girl in the Fireplace” season 2 episode 4. A good start I think. I’m not sold on Capaldi and The Doctor yet either, but I see potential. I do find it interesting to see an older Doctor since the first Doctor Who I ever saw was old, Peter Cushing. He was the Doctor in an American movie made in the 1960s. You might know him better as he played Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars.

It was rebranded season 1 and 2 is for the international audience who hasn’t seen it yet until it was on Disney is because they would get confused and be like we’re is season 1 thur 14. Because Disney only has those two seasons that’s it. In other words they thought the Americans would get confused and not want to watch it because they would think they have to watch everything else that was made. Just because of the fact that you can start with the beginning of any doctor a be almost good to start off at that point. A lot of people think it was stupid that they decided to change season 14 and 15 to season 1 and 2. It even had you confused because they didn’t start the series over again. Once you get to those episodes you would understand what I mean.

That is true because of what is going on now. Disney loves to take over stuff even if they don’t own the rights to a show, just they have BBC more money to help out the show.

Disney Doctor/Sex Education guy is Ncuti Gatwa, and he's adorable. In an interview he stated that even he didn't know how to pronounce his name until he was 26: "My name is pronounced N-shoo-tee. It's like a n (pause) shoo-tee. Only learned properly how to pronounce it at 26." He said he did a video to tell fans how to pronounce it and "My mom called me like, 'What are you talking about? That's not how you say your name.'"

Yeah, Eccleston was treated terribly on Doctor Who, thus his reluctance to return. Among other things, he was battling an eating disorder and apparently Russel T Davis had him do stuff he knew would trigger Eccleston's disorder. He did say recently however that he would come back under at least one condition: "Here's the thing: Doctor Who's written for boys. There has never been a female showrunner of Doctor Who. So my dream is this: there was a little girl who was, I don't know - six, seven, eight - in 2005 when my series went out, and she gets the job, and she asked me back? I'd go back like a shot."

Hi all, I will admit when I heard Peter Capaldi was fast as the Doctor I was against it, cause I was used go seeing younger actors in the role, so seeing an older man take over I was a bit ageist unfortunately. But after this episode I was willing to give Peter a chance and he grew on me. Anyway thoughts on episode interesting to see the Doctor become Scottish and more darker then his predecessors, liked seeing the dinosaur and the Paternoster Gang come back. As for Missy, ummm no idea who she is.
