It was a good episode! I don’t have too much to say about this particular episode, but I know I will have a lot more to say in the coming episodes! Dexter is hilarious with how awkward he is lol. The flashbacks continue to prove that this man desperately needed therapy. WHY DIDN’T YOU TAKE HIM TO THERAPY, HARRY?? Again, I’m glad we got a show out of it, but this has to be considered child abuse lol. Still doesn’t stop me from liking Harry, though. These characters are so complex, which is one of the things I really like about the show. I love seeing Deb get some wins this episode. Yes, she makes mistakes, but she’s new to being a detective, so I’m cutting her some slack. I’m sure she will get better with time. Also, did you see those looks the doctor and Deb kept giving each other? I smell a romance! Hopefully, she can keep this one because she deserves to be happy. I felt really bad for the guy who lost his hand and foot. I can’t imagine suddenly having to live without body parts you’ve had your entire life. The phantom pain and itching would also drive me crazy. I hope he can eventually accept what happened and find a way to move forward. So yeah, overall, good episode! I’m excited for more and hope you enjoy the next episode!

1x4 Sorry, I messed up and thought I had already watched this one. Didn't realise it until I started watching 1x5. The Title, “Let’s give the boy a hand”…Ha Ha. I think it was a bad idea to tell the mom that her son was still alive until they found him. The Lt. really has a case of ass with Dexter’s sister. The props department asked the main cast for actual childhood photos for Dexters photo album which were in some cases altered to fit the narrative. 1x5 I’m not sure but I do think there are sometimes scenes (not recaps) before the opening credits, but I’m not positive. And just like the Lt and and Deb, the Sargent Doakes has a real hatred for Dexter. Dexter's boat's name is "Slice of Life". I get it, slice…life. Having piss on the sheets on the gurney was a nice touch for realism. This episode is way before all the big anti undocumented sentiment started. Ice was only created 3 years before this episode and was only a third the size now. Back then, they actually treated people humanely.

I like the episodes where Dexter is in his element. He got the killer coyote case, solved it and took out the trash, a two for one special. Maybe to make up for the lack of him killing in the last couple of episodes?
