Okay, I wanted to show you guys something a little different 👀

I’ve been developing my own magical-girl webcomic called The Pretty Devils, and building a website to read it too!

It follows Mio, Sora and Zara, with demon, vampire and witch powers. I’m playing with the idea that dark powers don’t automatically make someone evil, alongside friendship, supernatural mysteries and some very silly moments.

I've currently fully made episode 1's comic and in the middle of episode 2. I've mapped out the whole season of 22 episodes and even mapped out season 2 with ideas for season 3 lol.

I wanted to share a few posters and a little peek at the website while I’m working on it. No link or release date just yet, just a look at what I’ve been making

Also, I want to be upfront about the process: this project uses AI-generated imagery, and I use AI to help develop and organise ideas, work on scripts and build the website. I’m creating and directing the project, choosing what becomes part of the story and revising it as I go. I’m not presenting the images as hand-drawn artwork.

No worries if it's not your thing at all, I'm just very excited about the process :).

Which of the three girls are you most curious about?

Below are some fun posters I've made.

Pomo is that furry little bitch with the long ass ears, next to the show title on the fucking poster showing off all of dem' bitches from season 1. (third attempt at describing who Pomo is ...did I do it right?)

How do you manage to get the AI to use the same design and not do a new design everytime?

Tony

The trick is making a BUNCH of reference pictures for all the characters / objects / whatever it is you want to stay consistent and then keep feeding that into the prompt as you ask for more stuff to be generated. It'll still fuck up given it's still not a 100% foolproof (especially the backgrounds will change for zero reason whatsoever) but it'll stay somewhat on target.

It depends on what you're actually generating, but typically you build in hard rules for the design style, give it examples, and rules to follow. Various free versions of AI might not give you this functionality. In Claude, you setup a folder, give it access, and drop a style guide into there with examples.
