This episode went by fast. I remembered it being a three-parter for some reason. The execution leaves something to be desired, but I think the idea of infiltrating and weaponizing the dead to take over the Earth is actually an interesting plot. Yeah, Missy's escape made no sense, the guards did nothing, but the Master is known to be a hypnotist, so that's my explanation.

The implication with Danny sending the kid back instead of him was that he accidentally shot that child while he was a soldier, so it was a way to atone for his greatest regret. Still kind of a cop-out that he just gets an undo button for a mistake like that.

Yah know what? (Wait, checks to see if we are we recording) I’m not even mad about it the ending because it stays within the theme of this season. Am’I a good man? Why always The Master you say? Why always that Timelord, it has to be him/her because that’s the one everybody knows. It’s fan service for those that have been watching forever, and as far as I’m aware it’s his only equal in terms of intelligence. "Hey Missy" was made up by Michelle Gomez on the spot to keep herself from stuttering and ruining the take. She thought it was going to be edited out, but the producers got the rights to "Mickey" and kept it in. Rachel Talalay directed this episode and one of the Nightmare on Elm Street sequels. Her children are also in this episode as background extras. Yes Missy descends from the clouds with her umbrella opened, 100 percent copying Mary Poppins. Kate mentions being divorced and having two kids. Jemma Redgrave has two children and would later divorce her husband. And marry me in 2015, she makes the best sausage casserole you’ll ever have. Do yer think when they resurrected the dead that Amy and Rory were included. They have been dead for awhile they could have been assimilated. The 23rd of November may be Clara’s Birthday and two days after yours but it is also the anniversary of Doctor Who. This year will be 63 years. Which is weird because it also includes the 15 wilderness years when it wasn’t on television. 7.60 million people watched this finale on 8th November 2014 and I think…. I mean it’s okay, Series 8 is really about a man trying to rediscover who he is. Peter Capaldi's Doctor isn't immediately presented as a traditional hero. He's flawed, difficult, occasionally cold and rarely compassionate. The Doctor is learning that being a good man isn't about being perfect. It's about the choices you make, the people you protect and whether you continue trying to do the right thing. That's what makes the question "Am I a good man?" such a powerful theme running throughout the series. Who knows maybe Moffat was going through something at the time.
