I like Self being so smug thinking he outplayed Michael only to find out he was outplayed & that was even before Self screwed over the group. vey understandable Michael wanted some insurance until they all had a confirmed deal in their hands. I know from the writing perspective they wanted to save the reveal that Michael took off a piece of the Scylla drive, but you would think he would've told Stanton & the Senator that he hid away a piece, they could've used that as a plan to draw out Self as he would need the piece to sell it off. That should've added leverage to Michael as their would be no long drawn out operation, just a quick sting where DHS can easily nab Self. Then they give testimony & everything gets done in 2 or 3 days. It wasn't for a few more weeks until they took a 3 month break, but I believe it was around this time it was announced the show was cancelled & wouldn't come back for season 5, give or take a few weeks.
