You wondered whether that Perdi (I believe his name is Thierry) is deaf or mute because he is able to understand what Anissa is saying. However, some deaf people are very skilled lip readers and that would explain why he can understand what Annisa is saying. Of course, there is a chance that you have no idea what lip reading is.

I pointed out the fact that he was deaf and was able to lip read, and then this girl proceeded to blow my frikkin mind..... Annisas face was covered. 🤯

I believe the reason why Anissa has another secret identity is that the Odell knows that she is Thunder and would have the ASA stop her from freeing the metahumans.

It was said in this episode that Anissa and Jennifer remain free as long as they don't use their abilities. The ASA knows Anissa is Thunder. Blackbird is her secret identity to hide from the ASA.

They were at the Perdi farm because it is right outside the barrier. It is where all the escaped metas have been hiding until they can be moved.

I have a feeling that at some point Odell (or the other guy) is going to send Painkiller to kill Jennifer. That will probably be what brings his memories back.
