Nice update to the site tonight as I transition from the writing part of the month to the programming! Main changes below.

Bulletins: You'll now see automated bulletins pop up on the home page from time to time! For the time being, these are mostly to help communicate contest info, like when one starts, goes into voting, or to announce the winners and give their names some recognition. Super admins also have the ability to set a custom bulletin. At the moment I'm not sure what situation would call for that, but you never know.

CYOA tree zooming: I had a request to add zoom in/out for the auto-generated CYOA trees. So there ya go! You can view them in all their glory without needing to scroll.

Smaller things: An author's total number of CYOA part contributions now shows up in their stats on their bio page! Also fixed some bugs and dramatically improved the efficiency of the home page. Should help with dashboard load times, especially on phones.

To review some stuff for those of you not in the loop, Swell Tales is now available to all patrons! You can access it at swelltales.com. The password for this month is 'cowbell'.

Stay tuned for more features in the coming days! We're nearly there.

Oh my god there are scrollbars in scrollbars in scrollbars. What the hell is going on with the page layout on the homepage? Also: three separate scrollable columns? That's horrifying. See: https://i.imgur.com/fypNn7T.png OH JESUS, the home page also scrolls *horizontally* with buttons. This has to be some of the worst UX I've ever seen. Wait, the tags area is YET ANOTHER scrolling section, and scrolls horizontally on mobile? This is fractally bad.

Ok, if you get rid of the height forced on the `horizontal-container` div (and move it to the cover image), drop all the max-height from everything, and remove the `overflow-y: auto`, get rid of all the negative margins, and you get something that's at least usable. Mobile view needs to drop to one column to not be god awful, though frankly the multiple SEPARATELY scrollable columns is just horrible ux on desktop as well. it shouldn’t exist anywhere, honestly.

Cleavage Romeo

I want to check if this is everyone or just me....if I look at the choice map, there's two possible outcomes for clicking any given node...either "Error | Uh-oh! Something has gone very wrong with the pumps! Send help!" or a message that that node is reserved. I can still get through by *making* decisions, but I can't use the choice map. This is desktop Firefox, and result is the same whether or not PrivacyBadger and uBlock Origin are enabled. Also was the same on Edge.
