Catra kinda likes that Despara would destroy the world for her. It's kind of romantic. In a fucked up way. Despara doesn't need anyone, but she wants Catra, and that is music to her ears.

That is such a good question and so hard to answer. She is the most protective, but she knows Catra is capable. So she isn't protective in a way that stops Catra from getting into danger, cos she knows Catra knows her limits. But Despara believes venerability is weakness, and she goes to great lengths to ensure that any venerability Catra shows is concealed so it can't be used against her.
