Ok, I'm ten seconds into this thing and I'm already seeing red about Citizen Kane. lol. You will have NO problem whatsoever with Citizen Kane. Zero! People are warning you about Citizen Kane? Directed by Awesome Welles when he was 25??? That Citizen Kane? I saw it when i was, like, 9! That movie will be no heavy lifting for you whatsoever. You just saw Paper Moon! The director's commentary, he's literally pointing all the Citizen Kane shots, all the Orson Welles shots. "That's a Citizen Kane shot" he'll say. The Godfather is from 1972, Citizen Kane is a (very fresh) 1941. It's like comparing The Wizard Of Oz to Pulp Fiction! But The Godfather, as great as it is, stands on the shoulders of Citizen Kane, directly in the lineage, it's literally been called the Citizen Kane of mob movies. You just saw Casablanca, from the same time period. When you see Citizen Kane, you will notice the difference. No obligation to like it, but no need to fear it or dread seeing it, it's just a regular movie, not too long, entertaining, yadda yadda yadda..... Ok, sorry about the rant! I was triggered! :D

Wow, you guys talking about the life of an actor and your experiences was amazing. They should play that to acting students, that whole discussion. Including when Mel is talking about being an extra. That was really interesting. (and you've studied all the big names, holy smokes!!!! And it sounds like you're working with the right teacher now, that's great. I've been sitting on my hands so as not to comment yet again, but jeez, that was really sobering......and inspiring!!!!!
