This is one of my favourite films. I’ve previously owned it on vhs, dvd, and blu-ray, and I just bought the new blu-ray 4K edition (released last year) for this watch along 😂 Thanks ames!

Can you see now why your Mom is such a Harrison Ford freak? 😜👍❤️He's our generations Gary Cooper. He's the ultimate Hollywood leading man. If anyone who loves Harrison hasn't seen him yet in Taylor Sheridan's 1923 series you NEED to watch it! It's some of his best work....

I will definitely be watching this reaction. Looking forward to it.

These two guys are amazing in this. I love their chemistry together. These are some of the most memorable moments for me of Tommy Lee Jones. He makes such great choices with the line readings here. "Oh wow! Gee whiz! Look here- You know we're always fascinated when we find leg irons with no legs in 'em." "Goodman, what are you doin'? Thinking? Well, think me up a cup of coffee and chocolate donut with some of them little sprinkles on the top, will you, as long as you're thinkin'?" "Guy did a Peter Pan offa this dam! Right here! Boom!" "How come they haven't turned off the water!?!" "Don't let 'em give you any shit about your pony tail either." "I...don't...bargain."

Based on a TV series from the 60’s which was pretty popular. Worth noting too that there is a spin-off movie with the Tommy Lee Jones character called U.S. Marahals. Kimble is not in it.

In his Oscar acceptance speech for this movie, Tommy Lee Jones thanked Harrison Ford, describing him as “a man who needs no support at all”. Here’s a few Harrison Ford movies to check out: Presumed innocent (1990) What Lies Beneath (2000) Working Girl (1988) Sabrina (1995) In fairness, the original Sabrina (1954) with Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart and William Holden is a much better film. But, the remake has fun interactions between Ford and Greg Kinnear. Not to mention a charming performance by John Wood (War Games).

Your little chirp when he went Peter pan had me laughing. Your reactions are always fun. Saw another comment mentioned US Marshals, Tommy Lee and his Marshal team reprise their roles and do a great job. I think Lee even does a stronger Gerard in the followup. Andreas Katsulas Sykes) plays one of probabaly favorite TV characters in just about any show I've seen. Hope you make it to B5.

First watch along and really enjoyed it. You had it at ~24 minutes..."He's going to find who killed his wife." The pacing/editing is what makes the movie. From the bus crash to the end it's nonstop. Nothing you would cut out 30 years later.

Good reaction and insights. Thanks. Agree that both Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones are awesome in this. I am unsure if this the type of movie you had in mind for an 80s-90s action movie, but I am glad it won the poll. Tommie Lee Jones did so well in this movie. Good casting, as you noted. Another excellent performance by Tommy Lee Jones is in "Lincoln" (2012) (nominated for 12 Oscars, winning 2), which I highly recommend. He was nominated for Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. If you want to see younger Tommy Lee Jones, check him out in "Coal Miner's Daughter" (1980).

It was nice seeing this one again with you, Ames! Some amazing acting by both Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones! Tommy was quite a character and had the best one-liners! I agree with your comment that much of Tommy's dialogue could have easily fallen flat! Harrison Ford's acting right from the start was amazing... the shock and grief on his face... wow! In my opinion, the two weak aspects of the movie were the lack of a credible motive and apparently an incompetent defense attorney! I loved the fact that Kimble showed his character, even as a fugitive, saving the kid's life at the hospital and also the guard on the bus! As usual, you activated your sleuthing powers and figured out much of what was going to happen in advance!! 🤣 Great reaction!!

Yes I agree! I was like how was he a better investigator than his attorney! Lol but still over all great pace and it keeps you entertained! Can’t keep a good dr from doing his work ! I love that he still saved him even thou it would be putting himself at risk to be caught.

This was a great movie to watch along with! I think it's been over 20 years since I've seen this movie and it was so well made. It's so different than anything that's made these days. Really, a perfect movie. Thanks for having the watch along available.
