I Hope The Abyss Special Edition wins. Runners up to get a view later: Dark City and Stargate Extended Edition. Note the specific versions.

James Rogers

The Quiet Earth made the polI !!! I guess all those blood sacrifices are starting to pay off.

Paul Cox

Hold the phone, you haven't seen Children of Men? And it's not leading everything else 99% to 1%?? I am dissappoint.

sheriffjt

So many amazing movies in this poll, I voted for 6 of them and, had they appeared in smaller polls, would have voted for more. So how many winners out of these? 10?

Bill Maurer

FLASH !!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH !!! Savior of the Universe !!!!!!

Bill Maurer

FLASH !!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH !!! He'll save every one of us !!!!

generic_sauce

Oh Lord, too many good choices! 😭

Clay F

I voted my top 4: Moon, Children of Men, 12 Monkeys, Starman. I voted for the leaders Close Encounters and Starship Troopers b/c I prefer those two over the runner-up Stargate. I would be happy w/others in the poll.

AstralCars

Stargate is beating Children of Men?! I thought we lived in a civilized society! 😂

Catchermag

You’re doing the Lords work, Ames. Stellar list.

Butt Head

All my choices are losing

pickupthepieces

Soooo, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to come in on Saturday and watch all 25 of them. So if you would go ahead and do that after you finish the tps reports that would be great.

Tom Rufer

There are tons of reactions to these overrated movies like Children of Men. Ames should for once or twice remove the top six of these polls and chose the next three after them... just to counter the mainstream.

Don Dunco

I'm just happy that Buckaroo Banzai isn't on the list. That movie's comedy is flatter than Twiggy's chest.

MarkGauci85

Looks like so far, The Top 5 are: 1. Close Encounters, 2. Starship Troopers, 3. Stargate, 4. Children of Men and 5. The Abyss.

Thomas Richter

12 Monkeys is mind bendingly good, They Live is a classic sci-fi action. Those are my top picks.

Toc

I'm not saying anything, I don't want to jinx anything. 🤞🙏

AJ

I've only seen 1 of these and it's been 30 years. LFG more Sci-Fi!

Chill

Amazing list, Ames. Well done.

JM63

Been a long time since I've seen The Abyss (both editions). I **think** the DC is better, but don't remember that well. Also I haven't seen the Dark City Director's Cut. Online opinion seems to favor the DC over theatrical (Dark City DC is on YT Canada).

Kim

1951 The Day the Earth Stood Still is a classic with some major stars. Just wondering why it’s not on the list.😎

Catchermag

Oh man, Ames is gonna be SO mad there’s a tie!! 😜🤪🤓😂

Brando83

It feels like there might be some sickos who are intentionally tying the polls. 🤣🤣🤣
