Reeling from the fact that the classics poll - which contained films by Ford, Wilder, Malick, Kurosawa and Lumet to name a few - was won by Caddyshack. I know such a result is par for the course when it comes to Patreon polls, but guys, come on.

OMG Cabaret!! LFG

Reggie

Caddyshack! The ultra-quotable classic!

I'm the Vice President of Movie Snobs, I've never told anybody but it's true. Even I'm psyched for Caddyshack.....and I didn't even vote for it! Harold Ramis (Canadian!) is one of the best comedy directors of the 80s and 90s.....and this is one of his essential films, co-written with Doug Kenney who founded National Lampoon (and with whom he had co-written Animal House)......it's got absolute brilliant comedy performances from Chevy Chase, Ted Frickin' Knight (GENIUS performance as the villain), Rodney Dangerfield, Bill Murray......and a gopher puppet! Ames mentions Austin Powers a lot which is directly in the lineage of Animal House/Caddyshack/SNL-alumni comedies. It's one of the earliest! Even if she hates it, it will be a great reaction. PS: Plus it's a sports movie! One of the classics! :P

Cabaret? WOW!! Another 1st for the internet!

Rocky IV was my favorite Rocky when I was a kid. Now it's my least favorite and I know why. It's the MTV Rocky movie. It's basically just a strung together collection of montages/music videos.

Curtis Martin

Rocky IV was a bit of a cartoon, certain events notwithstanding. But please don't stop now. A Canadian Reactor Pair we all know, seems to have done just that. They seem to have made the assumption that any remaining Rocky films must be one giant American Flag waving montage. One could be forgiven for such an assumption. But please keep going. V is a bit polarizing, but it's not as bad as you've heard. V is also part of the journey to VI-Balboa. Balboa is a more than fitting conclusion to the series. When you hear "Yo Adrian, We Did It!", then your Rocky journey is over. Sorry for the flag waving in IV, as much as I would love to live in the same country aa Ames, the way our head guy is going about it ain't right! Anyway, Go The Distance!

I know a guy who has named all his dogs after Caddyshack characters. He's always had at least 2 at a time. Noonan (RIP), Spalding, Maggie & Carl.

Retro Maven

Saw Cabaret on stage with Teri Hatcher as the headliner. Ames, you will love Liza in the role, too!!

Jason Parker

What a banger lineup!!!! TNG, Caddyshack & Rocky 4! Ames is on fire!
