Really looking forward to this one. It’s the first time the show really got into some topics and tone that would carry on into the best episodes and story threads going forward.

That phasers to the head scene at the end!

You mentioned Rob Bottin who designed the awesome Robocop suit and of course famous for The Thing, which this episode is very similar too. Including the totally gross ending, not really TNG like lol. You can see the cast is already getting into a flow here and the writing is starting to take it to the next level. Season 2 is often lumped into one with S1, but it is already much better with some real gems. With S3 there is real consistency where even the standard middle of the road episodes are often pretty good. The previous episode 'We'll always have Paris' is ok, you'll enjoy it, but the title is probably it's best feature haha. Sadly though the episode Coming of Age (1x18) was missed. That introduced some characters from this episode and it has some very nice character work with Wesley. You may want to view it still anyway. On your own if necessary.

Knew you would love this one! It's a Season 1 gem with a great ending. Would've made a great Season finale.

Episode 18 (Paramount+) ties into this episode. Or technically the other way around.

TNG Tuesday here we go whoot whoot!!! Great reaction Ames! Love your TNG and can’t wait for ‘Burbs this week. One of the all timers from my younger years. Just one note on a cameo. Don’t know if you’ve done Wierd Scince or not (if no I can’t wait for that one it’s epic). But the monster looking captain at the meeting played a monster dude in WS too. Keep up the good work! Out.

Thanks for the reaction.
