Yes, yes yes!!! there’s a reason a lot of these movies are so iconic from the past. Because they are so bad ass. Stick around.

My beard grows out 4 inches every time I watch this movie... 🧔😆 #testosterone

When action movies are done right… man they are so good like this one. So few out there.

Man after dealing with Bs traffic for all the construction today. This is just what I need to wind down. Classics are classics for a reason, imagine this movie coming out today. The cgi would be abysmal. Practical effects never age. Look up some of the behinds the scenes stuff, I feel like arnie in his prime had to be one of the favorite actors for people to work with.

It's aged VERY well I think. In large part due to Director John McTierian who always did a wonderful job of playing up the tension in a scene... Arguably Arnold's BEST film...

You may want to watch the Prequal to this - Prey 2022. Very good.

Wade Wallenstein

Predator is one of those films where you can't help but have a good time watching a group of guys blowing stuff up. They are called "Yautja" as a whole and do have an honor system. You should definitely watch Predator 2! It's one of my favorites of the franchise.

David Bennett

One of Arnie's best pure action flicks. I still enjoy watching it all these years later. Ames, if you haven't watched True Lies, I think you would LOVE it. Arnold and Jamie Lee Curtis in the starring roles, directed by James Cameron....excellent blend of action and comedy. VERY much worth your time... I would personally recommend watch Predator 2 and then JUST STOP. (it's like Alien and Terminator that way: first two films in each are great, all the rest are trash.....) If I were to give you some tangential advice, what I would recommend is reading either the OG comic book story of Aliens Vs Predator OR reading the novelization that tells the same story. That story was excellent, had really good characters and plot, stayed completely within the canon of BOTH series. When it came time to make a cross over film, for some reason, somebody took a dump on a paper plate, sprinkled it with glitter, wrapped it up in tinfoil and said: "we're gonna film THIS pile of shit!!". And that is the origin story for the AVP films..... while the man portable mini-gun looks cool onscreen, it wouldn't work in real life. First of all, it requires a power source (which you don't see Jesse Ventura lugging around with him). Second of all, the cyclic rate at MINIMUM is still 3000 rounds a minute. If the backpack has maybe room for 700 rounds of 7.62 ammunition (which by the way, is 39 pounds on his back), that is maybe 14 seconds of firing before you are out of bullets. Pretty sure by the time the team is done with the rebel camp, he is completely out of ammo and the mini-gun is 50 lbs or so of dead weight. That weapon is actually the same physical weapon that Ahr-nold used in Terminator 2. The predator species is called the Yautja and they have a well formed society built around hunting dangerous game. One thing to note is that Yautja hunters are male and the species has the opposite set up as far as sexual dimorphism: the female Yautja are actually larger than the males by a significant amount.

Is there any other movie that features 2 future state governors? Kind of surprised nobody has mentioned that Hawkins is played by Shane Black; the man responsible for the Lethal Weapon franchise as well as one of my all time favs, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. A clever premise with the good sense to stick to the basics. Love how invested you were throughout the watch.

Frankie H

Kind of funny that Shane Black who played Hawkins with the glasses became a really good writer/director, but he directed one of the worst Predator movies, The Predator (2018). You reacted to his film The Nice Guys. According to what I've heard on the internet Sonny Landham who played Billy was so aggressive on set that they had to hire a bodyguard to protect the the cast from him. That seemed to be a requirement from the insurance company the covered the filming.

John Courtright

This was a fun one, Ames! What a score to this film!! Alan Silvestri!! He's one of my Top 10 film composers! He composed the musical scores for some of your favorite films Ames, including Practical Magic, Contact, Back to the Future, and Forrest Gump.

One of Arnolds best and it still hold up till this day. Yes Stan Winston was an amazing television and film special make-up effects artist. He is well missed, but his work lives on.

This was also Jesse "The Body" Ventura first acting movie, and when I first saw it, I was surprised that he did so well. moving from the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) to acting,
