PIG

Oh, it's "that gel puck food" episode lol My wife and I saw this when we were kids a long time ago and we still make fun of that damn thing. Another neat one to watch along!

I also love this episode, especially the genuine drama as Riker starts weighing doing an actual mutiny. One nitpick: I wish they hadn't nerfed Troi's abilities so much. That's a consistent complaint I have with how they handle her character, in that her abilities are weaker or more powerful depending on the needs of the plot. I think they could've at least made her pick up on suspicious intent with the new Picard, and expressed those concerns--but she wouldn't have had enough information to justify mutiny. That way they could've kept the plot intact, while not making the viewer frustrated.

Preaching to the Horse's Mouth

Not my absolute fave by any stretch but fun. Picard/PS obviously front and centre but I really enjoy Riker/JF in this one also. The last scene with with the wordless communication between the crew is super satisfying. And we've got jokes 😆

I tried making a visor when I was a kid. I used cardboard and tape, and im sure it looked terrible 😄 but it was fun

This episode was written to save money and balance the budget after yesterday’s enterprise took them over budget. Also, according to Memory Alpha, at first Sir Patrick’s acting wasn’t subtle enough going back and forth between the 2 Picards, so the director asked him to dial it back, and it really came off perfectly similar with just the subtle differences

I agree with you 100% that Patrick Stewart kicked ass with acting this episode. A highlight of the episode, especially his nuanced acting when portraying the doppelganger. The episode a little tedious at times in the isolation room but your animated expressive reaction made it seem less so this rewatch. I love that. Plus, the Stewart acting and Picard character were good in interactions in the isolation room. Lastly, I like the Riker decisiveness in ultimately taking charge and the look B. Crusher gave Picard at the end of the episode.
